Appreciate what it has given you..appreciate what is teaches you, appreciate that it doesn't always give you what you want, appreciate your health, appreciate your children,family, and friends...appreciate that your life could be worse and others out there do have it worse....appreciate respect, kindness, and giving....appreciate God for without Him, we would not have a life.

It's not about how much money or status u can acquire, it's about relationships, with those u are surrounded by and those u meet along the way. How we handle our earthly responsibilities, desires etc. paves the way for our eternal trip.....  | |

| What is Most Important in Life???
Posted: 7/6/2006 11:05:59 PM | I want to say my family - nieces and nephews and grandma. After tonight however, I have to make the most important thing in my life, my health.
I think though, knowing I've done the best I can for those I love, will always remain the most important thing. If I have any doubts that I haven't, then it will affect everything else that I do. | |

Sex in a relationship is a way of expressing love. But Sex in itself? People that put just
sex as important are the ones that end up on tv programs because they did inappropriate

Posted: 7/14/2006 9:23:23 PM | | In order to be "Happy" you need to have good/stable "Mental Health" (re: not be a depressed person). So your "Health" DOES play a factor in how happy you are! Health is NOT Only "Physical", but it is also "Mental" ! That is why "Health" is most important to me - b/c without good "Mental & Physical Health" then I won't have happiness, I may not live long, I may suffer depending on my physical or mental health, I will never find true love (if I am not mentally happy with myself - thank goodness I am). - ALL OF THIS TIES IN WITH YOUR "HEALTH" & THAT'S WHY IT IS #1 ON MY LIST!! | |

Posted: 7/14/2006 10:29:11 PM | I DO agree that your health is very important. But what is a long life without love? I wouldn't want to live a long time and never experience that.
First of all, long life unnecessary mean good health. One could live up to 100 years old and had actually been sick for 20 years. I think long life is one thing and good health is another.
So suppose you are long life with good health, what you can do is to devote yourself to love the others. Be a volunteer to the poor, the weak, the sick. Once you pour your heart out to love this world and the other human, I am sure you will find love and peace in your heart and become a loveable person and ready for a good man to come.
And I am sure this question has been asked before, it is not a new post thread. | |

After that my health so my kids don't have to bury me until they are much much older. | |

Posted: 7/17/2006 5:04:22 PM | I agree completely. I remember when my grandma was in the hospital, we all knew this was it, she wouldn't make it. The last thing I ever said to her was "You are surrounded by people that love you, people that you love, have no worries, you did it right." Doug
p.s. there's an epilogue to that story too, a couple months later on my birthday my folks came over with this beautiful black vase with gorgeous purple artificial flowers in it. My grandma had gone out and got it for me, she knew those were my favorite colors. She had told my folks to give it to me from her for my birthday because she knew she wouldn't be around to give it to me herself. I have never felt so loved. To think that she knew she was going to the hospital and wouldn't be coming out, and even then, what she was thinking about was me, and my birthday. I think of her every time I see it. | |

It's not about how much money or status u can acquire, it's about relationships, with those you are surrounded by and those u meet along the way
Part of life I agree would be to find out your "God given purpose" - however, the things that you mentioned it is not about (see above) are all too often the focus of relationships - especially longterm ones when you are seeking your "soulmate". Money and education are all too often the top of the list.
However, over my life time I have learned to be happy with "WHAT I HAVE". I am not consumed by money. As long as I got the few things that are imprtant to me (re: sentimental things) and I have a roof over my head (be it a one bedroom apartment or bachelor suite or whatever) - I am happy!!
I feel that WAY TOO MANY people base their happiness on those things that you mentioned above. People just don't see others for who they are if they don't have an income - despite the fact that they could be a great person!!
That is my thought anyways! | |

However, I don't believe that any of those are the most important thing in life. I think the most important thing in life is to use your life for the betterment of other people and for society in general. Whether that is within your own family by raising children with character, mentoring someone in your community, volunteering, serving in the armed forces, or performing humanitarian work in underpriveledged nations. To give of yourself, your time, your energy and sometimes your life to make another's life better or society better is the most important thing in life...JMO | |
