TEXAS DREAMING
Upon a horse I rode that day.
Looking into the rising sun.
Fields of grain and cattle galore.
I could not ask for more.
Texas wind, Texas sun.
Give me home to roam.
Let us live in the land as one.
This is my loving home.
Sitting under trees of East Texas, tower so high.
Sleeping under the West Texas skies.
I hear the cattle as they graze.
The horses standing against a summers haze.
Let me feel that Texas wind.
Shine upon me Texas sun.
Where have the cowboys faded off too?
Our hearts long to be home on the Texas plains.
The chill within the cowboys body fills his soul with pleasures.
Sitting upon his horse, he feels the love of the land.
The graceful flowing of the horse as he rides the borders.
The sight of a rising sun from his mighty steed.
Texas wind, Texas sun.
Give me a home to roam.
Lets us be one.
Under that Texas sky, my loving home. | |
