| Introduce Yourself Here.... Posted: 3/11/2007 9:10:45 PM | Jared here 27/M Thought I would throw a reply in as well. Recent single/seperated father that likes to brag about my kid. lol. Even though the ex has our son and they live in a different city, I still love to talk about kid/parent stuff. So always looking to talk to other parents, etc. Prince George is home for now, but not sure how long. Dont really care for it here much, even though the people are usually pretty decent here. Anyhow, always looking to bull-- with new people, other parents, etc, doesnt matter where your from since I am basically here to make friends. Take a look at the profile(although its longggggg) or just PM me.
Thanks everyone and hope you all find happiness.

| Introduce Yourself Here.... Posted: 3/14/2007 1:28:58 PM | Hi all, just thought I would stop by and say hello! I work a lot, sometimes out of town which makes it hard to meet new people to have some fun times with when I have days off. Its always great meeting new friends....possibly more if the chemistry is there.
Cheers! | |

| Introduce Yourself Here.... Posted: 3/14/2007 6:18:29 PM | Wow, i skipped right over this and started posting! Bad Bailey, Bad...
So.. hello! i'm Bailey, not new to PoF, nor to BC, but definitely green when it comes to forums. And i'm loving it! 18, single mom with no involvement from the father, live in a small, northern town called Smithers, though i travel often enough to Prince George and hope to be heading down to Vancouver/Vancouver Island for 3 weeks during the summer. Already have plans for some of the time, but happy to make more :] Always up for a good chat be it via PoF, MSN, or phone.
Wish me luck

| Introduce Yourself Here.... Posted: 3/14/2007 11:37:53 PM | Howdy!
Born in Vancouver and have lived in the Lower Mainland all my life. I have travelled somewhat across Europe (Germany, Holland, Austria, Russia, England), but amazingly enough not much across North America (which is something I would like to do).
I love to garden & have been studying horticulture. Hey spring is almost here!!!! Woohoo! I'm getting back into my artwork - not exactly sure what my niche is yet - playing around/experimenting with different things, but mostly I enjoy painting. I also love to do cross-stitch. Would like to get involved in more outdoor activities like hiking, inline skating, biking, swimming... heck, I'll try anything once! I also love to dance.
As I said on my profile, just looking to find people to 'hang out' with and make some new friends. I'm not in a big rush to get into a serious relationship. I find that I really like to take my time and to get to know people first and let the friendships evolve.
ANYone is welcome to write me (male or female). If you're looking for a friend to 'hang with', drop me a line!!!
Cheers,
T. | |

| Introduce Yourself Here.... Posted: 3/19/2007 5:46:09 PM | Hi YÁll,
My name is Fred. I am a mature student and plan to make a transition to a career in human services from volunteering in it for several years. Am graduating in June from a diploma and signing up for my BA next.
One good thing about being a guy on this site is that I don't need to say, Önly here for the forums", in my profile! LOL
BTW, what does BBW mean? After big and tall, I wasn't sure if I should lie or not!
Originally from New Brunswick and am really starting to get sick of the whole urban thing. Want to get the best out of it before I leave! Sorry, just the way it is. Traffic, noise, rude people, taxes, how much can one take? I meet more interesting people in the DTES than anywhere else here. Thank God for my involvement there as I can at least talk to some real people every week. So, it seems that its either move to the country or embrace the whole experience again and move into the city.
Have not met anyone on line yet but, my female friends tell me that it's worth it. I wonder? Go

| good books Posted: 3/19/2007 9:42:17 PM | [Looking for good books. Got any to share?]
there's one on the bestsellers list right now, it's a love story about two vampires called, You Suck. LOL Sorry my sense of humour is just wrong these days, not enough sleep. That's a real book though, seriously. The only books I want to read right now are very short ones or with blank pages because I cannot make heads or tails of anything after all of those textbooks the EVIL teachers made us read for the last two years. Whoops, did you say that you were a teacher? Not making a very good impression now am I?

| Introduce Yourself Here.... Posted: 3/21/2007 12:30:41 PM | Thought I'd say hello. I just joined last week and haven't put myself out there in a long time...
I'm a Vancouver-born gal interested in friends, dating, and/or more if things sparkle. I'm making changes in my life right now, so new activities (or really old forgotten ones) - I'm game to give it a go. I love exploring ideas, learning new things, and being in nature.
Say hello! | |

Looking foreward to meeting new friends up there! Thanks for your time..

| Introduce Yourself Here.... Posted: 3/27/2007 2:55:50 PM | Hey there. I'm formerly from Ontario but my daughter and I have moved to Cranbrook. Its a huge culture shock going from a city of 600,000 or more to a city of 20,000. The buses stop running at 6pm!!! lol Anyways, if there are any fellow Cranbrook residents, drop me a hello and tell me I made the right choice. (I already know I did!!) | |

| Introduce Yourself Here.... Posted: 3/31/2007 11:44:44 AM | Hellow My name is Mary. I have been to two POF events...the first one, I just observed, was waaay tooo extremely shy..it was a dance, I can't remember where it was tho..anyhow, then i went to the wings nite in Guildford, it was all good.
I live in Langley, and I don't drive, and I am a counsellor by profession, but doing adminstrative work rite now. I eventaully want to get my own private practice going.
I have never been married, and I don't have any kids, don't know if I want to have kids.We shall see what the cards hold.
I am shy at first, but if you take the time to get to know me, then its all good from there.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and maybe i'll see you at a POF event!

| Introduce Yourself Here.... Posted: 4/2/2007 9:47:16 PM | I'm a writer who pays the bills by working for a biotech company. I like theater at the 'Cultch or Freddy Wood and am a "true" Canucks fan (I support them for as long as they are in the playoffs).
I'm currently reading: "Fountainhead" - Ayn Rand (re-read) "Infinite Jest" - David Foster Wallace (on page 900) "House of Leaves" - Mark Danielewsky (just starting)
I'd recommend either of the three. Fountainhead is a classic. Infinite Jest is really, really long and difficult, but a damn good read. House of Leaves is one of the strangest books I've ever read (even though I'm only 50 pages in).
I'm totally down with trading books. I have about a hundred novels (all literary fiction - mostly of the Vonnegut, Ford, Palahniuk, Roth, Atwood, Richlier, Foer, Eggers type) and have just ordered "Clown Girl" by Monica Drake, "Rant" by Chuck Palahniuk and the complete anthologies of Amy Hempel and Raymond Carver.
Did I mention I read a lot?
