Hi, My name is Mikel, ( people call me Mike, it doesn't bother me that much....)and have been on and off POF a while now (so long I can't remember). I enjoy posting in these forums, as it has been a good place to come and get a good laugh when I need one. Have found going to events entertaining, and have met some folks that I most likely would never have met otherwise. (All good of course!) Looking forward to more of the same........ | |

(I've been around) However Maple Ridge always feel like home.

My name is Allan, although I believe that I have been called many other things besides just that !
I dwell within obscurity, or more precisely well off the beaten path,( well not that precise then ! )
in a place that few would know to even exist. I am generally considered a recluse, an eccentric, a thinker, a dreamer, and an artist.... oh... and on some occasions a total idiot too !
but I am friendly !... usually !
I have just come to study and gain some insight on how the rest of the world thinks... or doesn't think!

Sometimes I lurk, sometimes I post, I have even gone to the events in Victoria which all you mainlanders are aware are not as.....ummm.....whats the word I am looking for..........fox...help me out.........
as well attended as the mainland ones. Regardless, I have met a few and read all about the mid island and mainland ones. (mid island just plain scares me!)
I have two adult children, 28 & 26, 2 grandsons, 7 yrs and 7 mos., love my job, love Victoria and well......like the forums! (let me know when the 12 step meetings get started) | |

Posted: 5/23/2006 10:56:55 AM | So Hi I'm Islandsugar, if you know me, you love me... its really just that simple. I live on the rock but I have been all over the place , from here to TX and back. I am an untamed rock star, found most often with needles hanging out of my arm after the big show... I once jumped into a pool at this party... it was empty... so yea thats what happened to my face. I lost my right leg in a logging accident, we were high... dropped the chainsaw...oopsies... I still love camping.. This one time... I had way too much to drink and tattooed Lactoses real name on my ass... Talk about a pain in the ass!  After that I went back home and tried bungy jumping without the rope, and yep, thats how i lost my left arm. Now you wont be shocked to know that I have toned it down and have started to collect spitoons, I love krispy kreme donuts, Im into fishnets and I would love to drive, but Im just too fat to fit in a damn car, and prostetics are REALLY expensive... My dream date arrives with a wheel barrel so he can tote me around town. MUSH!

So, yes I love dogs...and cats....and just about anything else within the animal kingdom. If I could figure out how to have a penguin as a pet, Id have one of those in a heartbeat.
