Posted: 10/11/2007 9:26:07 AM | Been on PoF for a few weeks now, so far it's better than some of the other sites I've been part of in the past.
I grew up in New Brunswick, moved to Vancouver 5 years ago and absolutely love it. I run the BC branch of a social group called MEETin.org, but since it's a casual hang out/ activity setting, most people who join aren't looking for a relationship.
My life is going very well so I figured it was time to cast my line out there to see what I can catch. I'm really not looking to get married again (won't rule it out though if the right guy came along) . I love kids, and even though I don't want kids of my own at this point, I don't mind if the guy has children. I'm a bit overweight, but that's a work in progress and hasn't let that stop me from participating in life, my friends and I are usually doing something active instead of sitting on the couch vegetating.

I have a friend who really enjoys the forums and so I thought I'd hop on the bandwagon too.
I'm a born in BCer (Burnaby General) and now live in Tsawwassen. I travel quite a bit for work. I've had a POF account for a while now, but have left it dormant for the most part. I had opened my account here while I was trying out LavaLife as well and I just grew tired of single, childless men showing up to my door driving station wagons and minivans out of which they'd forgotten to take the child seats and soccer balls. Classy. And completely disheartening. But I'm making an effort now. For real. I just had my first great date! In years! Yay me!
I'm 37, never married and have no kids and have a whole life story that only people who know me personally are privy to.

Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's ok though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation.. so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type.. I'm like, "hey girl, magenta!" and she's like, "oh, you mean purple!" and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, "no - I want magenta! | |

I got my name from a good friend when I lived up north and watched a little too much tv during the dark winters. I guess there was something else to do during the long nights, but I didn't catch on to it... lol
Anyway, I'm new on POF. My neice told me about it.
