Posted: 7/9/2008 11:47:47 PM | Hi everyone, I'm sweet succulent tangerine. oooh yaaaaa ... peelin off that zesty skin! wonder if I can get the whole peel off in one piece ..?
I've been in Nanaimo for four years now and I have not had the pleasure of meeting very many people, so here I am :)
I see loads of very interesting people here .. I also love these forums ..
I've never caught my own fish, I've always fallen hook, line, bait, and sinker ..
Now I got me pole out (fishing pole, that is), me hip-waders on and I've been fishin' for just over three months ... I've had a few little nibbles, but no bites ... I'm not so sure I'll catch a fish, but just happy being a fisherperson.

I grew up in Ontario and moved to BC thirteen years ago and have never looked back. During those 13 years, I lived in Vancouver, West Vancouver and Burnaby. But I always enjoyed visiting the island and thought to myself "I would really like to live here!" Well last fall, that vision became reality. I'm now living in Nanaimo and haven't ever looked back from here either!

Wow, lots of transplanted Ontariarionians out here. Well, me too! I'm from Lindsay, Ontario originally. Came out here in my early twenties, and love BC so much I was never able to return home 
This is a great social site, and I'm glad to have found all of you. Looking forward to lots of the events posted for this summer...the cruise, dances etc.

I think I seldom use that word, but I have been asked a few times, I would love to hear your advice on publishing, I have 25 years of poetry and prose to go over, and my friend , critiquer, partner is been gone for a long while. I guess i think this would be a fun "activity" again, and if some neck smelling, butterfly kissings happen while our heads are bent together to the task at hand... I think emotional and perhaps heart pumping glee would not be overly descriptive?
I love to handwrite, I now must write more than I read, typing on a keyboard while being irradiated by my monitor, frankly sucks, good thing I can pay someone to do the bulk of it, heh heh.
Well here is a random piece,

I have traveled 364000 miles, that's miles not kms, in the last few years. Yes I'm tired but hey, that's the life of a gypsy! I'm in parksville hoping to plant some roots. I'm 45 years old, though I look about 35ish, 5'6" tall, average build, long blonde hair over my gray! LOL I don't look or act 45 and I like it that way. Growing all over again.
I'm an HONEST hard working, fun loving, willing to do just about anything type of guy.
I've been married and had my Children( Gone ) and love them with all my heart.
I have now moved on but still maintain close ties with them.
Cleaned out the trunks and re ady to move on to the next phase of my life.
Always looking back this time, I got it right Finally.
In a nut shell I want someone willing to share their life with me and hot hold me responsible for it.

I am out here in Vancouver on business and would enjoy meeting other like minded people. Staying near Hastings park.
I love to play and have fun, laugh and discover as many new things that are there to be discovered. Been there, done that and still wear the tee shirt. IOW, I don't have anything to hide and would love to meet someone who takes responsibility for themselves and has a desire to find the little boy in him and let him out to have some fun.
I don't have it all together, I am not perfect, I am what I am and have come to accept that what I am is great! A coffee, good talk and some special time spent together, filling the blank space in woud be a great way to spend my spare time while here in Vancouver.
