I've been here since the fall.
I've met some folks. (& One is a fairly good friend of mine now.)
I'm not really here to find dates; Friends only.
I live in the suburbs of Vancouver.
It would be cool to go to a POF event 1 of these days, when my schedule can handle it. =/
*pokes my user name* I'm VERY passionate about EDM. If you love trance, (or any sub-genre of Electronic Dance Music for that matter), send me a msg. I'll let'cha know what's going on around here...even though some people strongly argue that Vancouver's EDM scene is fairly weak in comparison to other cities. I'll even hook you up w/ some WICKED tracks!

My name is Ray, I am more famous as Rayodder in the paintball community, just Google my nickname and see my usual hangout  , I was born in Taiwan, grew up in Vancouver, spent a few years on Vancouver Island and now I am back in Vancouver for now.
I am a Pisces by birth, but what is more interesting is that, my dad always tell everyone that he had a dream while my mom went into labor (he was away on a business trip in Japan) in this dream he was traveling on a ship, all sudden the whole crew was yelling that was a giant carp floating in the sky, as my dad step out onto the deck to see what all the commotion was all about, the carp fell right into his lap and at that exact moment he was woken up by a phone call from my uncle telling him that I was born, so it is only natural for me to find this place  | |

New, fairly, to POF, but am liking all I see and have met so far. Recently attended first POF event, I must say I was very surprised at the warm way I was welcomed, I look forward to many more such events.

I am known to most as Fishfancy...but my friends call me Fishfancy aka Christina. LOL
I try to get out to events and have fun most weekends....I love to meet new people...just remembering names mmmm not so good at that....give it some time and I will get your name right....I hope. There is hope...meeting 40-70 new people puts a strain on the brain.

I really do have a real life....it's just this one is way more fun!!!!!!

If you have lived there before..well I probably know you..or your brother or mother or sister.....heck maybe I have seen your...oh nevermind. Moved to lovely Victoria in 94. Am a westcoaster now. Although am disappointed with the girl to guy ratio.

I am an original BCboy; born in Nelson and have lived in or around 'loops since early sixties.
I am definitely in a 'minority' group by being honest in my posts and profiles. But it can be difficult distinguishing between honesty and sarcasm, don't you think? (if there's anyone on here capable of thinking).  . (you decide)
I don't dance, I don't lie, I don't drink, I don't smoke (anything), I open doors for ladies, I smile at strangers, I LOVE children, I respect our elders and I (honestly) haven't worn a Fag-Bag in over 5 years. Whoops! I mean't to say Fag-PACK. sorry. Being forthright and ultra-liberal I wouldn't want to offend anyone here.  (but those being from England would realize that it's simply a bag to carry around cigarettes in).
So, since I'm honest, responsible, kind, educated and I don't 'play', drink or party then exactly WHAT am I doing here? (perhaps just another of life's mysteries)
If I happen to 'click' on a profile it's mainly to see what other (fine) posts a member has, where (he or she) lives, their age, IF they have stated that they Don't Want Kids and (sometimes) what or who they are seeking?

I've posted replies before, but I guess I should introduce myself here.
I'm originally from Indonesia, but in the past 13 years I've lived in : Wichita, KS; College Station, TX; Fort Collins, CO; Singapore; and lastly about 18 months ago I moved to Vancouver.
After a year of focusing on work, I thought I should start having more social life than just with the barristas at the coffee shop nearby. I hope to meet new people to hang out with and start gathering a few close friends that I keep losing every 2 to 3 years every time I move to another city.
If anyone is looking for people to hang out with, let me know. I just might join you. | |
