if two people are attracted to each other that's what matters.
for me younger men are more active & very eager to please;o)
not sure why everyone makes such a fuss about this & feel the need to brand me with a name but whatever...

Coming from England, I had never heard of the cougar phenomenon till I came on this site..
You don't really get them over here in England, but it sounds as if there are a lot of them prowling around in the States and Canada...

Posted: 6/29/2009 11:03:31 PM | Not just Canada I'm 40 next year I'm in Australia and I guess I learnt for the first time the other day that apparently I'm a cougar and I wasn't looking for it but have certainly had a few offers lately....Come on give me a break I really do prefer men my age or older but hey thats only my view....

Too much nonsense. the older women were better communicators, more interesting and less inhibited. it`s great now because they are perfect for me at this age and i still have no interest in young girls, too boring and too scatter brained. who needs a midlife crisis?? | |

Posted: 7/2/2009 5:10:55 PM | I found out a few months ago that I am a cougar and was curious exactly what that meant, now I know and I love it!! I get more attention from the younger gentlemen than I ever did from the gentlemen in my own age group, which is sad when you think about it, so I don't, lol.
Plus, I'm finding out that the men in my age group don't want to chase the lady, yet they get pissy if the lady is a little agressive. What's that cliche; damned if you do, damned if you don't.
However, some of the younger gentlemen that I've had a chance to talk to need some SERIOUS growing up to do, at which point I exit.

There is no pouncing on and devouring when an older man dates a younger woman; but when a lady dates a younger man, she is a cougar **yuck/blehh.** Anyone who refers to me as a cougar (rather than my name, Ms or Maam), gets dismissed quickly. SO true. Why must we do this to women, anyway? Who came up with "cougar" as a descriptor, anyway? Hollywood, that's who. To me, that gives some insight into how much value to put on that term...absolutely none. | |

The 2010 Cougar is quick and sporty with perfect balance of looks and comfort, available in 5 trims, ranging from the I4 to the V6 Sport Ultimate. Comparable vehicles to the 2010 Cougar include the Acura RSX, the Hyundai Tiburon, and the Volkswagen New Beetle. The I4 is equipped with a standard 2.0-liter, I4, 125-horsepower engine that achieves 23-mpg in the city and 34-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard.
The V6 Sport Ultimate is equipped with a standard 2.5-liter, V6, 170-horsepower engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 30-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The 2010 Cougar is basically a carryover from 2002.
I think I'll go out and take a look at one today! I'd rather drive a Cougar and buy American than drive a foreign car, hands down! | |
