Posted: 6/5/2005 2:05:36 PM | From my son who is now 29, when he was 15, talking to a friend who was trying to convince him that I was mean cause I wouldn't let him to something the friend was allowed to do:
"Well, my parents care about me, so they won't let me do some things."
And from my 17 year old daughter, just last week when we were shopping:
"You're the least shallow person I've ever known."
And I'm still trying to understand anything that comes out of my 20 year old son's mouth!!

From this wonderful woman I dated a few months ago. We were sitting in a bar on St. Denis having a glass of wine, and she looked over and said " You are so sexy" . It only took 47 years to hear that from a woman.
From my neighbour, a 70 year old black woman, and a wonderful person :
" You know, you have a cooool walk ! "
( I said " Coming from a sister, now THAT's a compliment ! " )

Posted: 6/5/2005 7:53:16 PM | | When I used to walk to school there would always be this women going the opposite way while walking her dog and I would alwyas tell her "Hello." to be nice and sometimes would see how she was doing... I just think saying "Hi" to someone is something nice to do and you never know it may brighten up that persons day. Well getting on with the story. One day she stoped and said: "You, know I don't really know you but you seem like such a great person. You have such a great spiret about you." That was so nice of her! It made my day. | |

And the 2nd nicest thing was when this girl I dated a few years ago told me she was glad I had called her earlier. I told her I didn't want to call her too often and if I was inconveniencing her, I hoped she would tell me. She looked at me and said, "I like when you call. You're the best part of my day."

I go to pick my kid up from school and I hear him tell his buds*Man my dad looks so cool with his moto-cross shirt on, his hat backwards and them cool dark shades* His little bud *Yeah I wish my dad dressed like that, can come over and play at your dads place* Thought this was so cool of him to say. | |
