| the nicest thing someone has ever said to you Posted: 11/18/2005 7:26:19 PM | My then four year old son said to me, in a stolen moment away from family at Christmas-- Mommy? You're the prayer of my heart.
Tell me this is not the best kid ever.

My dear boy comes up with some real sweet ones. Last year we were doing a puzzle and he said, mom, I just can't stop staring at you...you're so beautiful. And his brother for a very long time would just call me 'beauty'. Such sweet boys I have, I am so lucky!

| the nicest thing someone has ever said to you Posted: 11/18/2005 9:57:46 PM | Had many nice things said to me in my life, most recent was the other night. I was on Im w/ a nice man I'd like to know. I was sad about something and tried to send a sad face w/ my message. He told me: you don't need emoticons...I can feel your mood through the letters. My response was a simple "WOW." It made me feel better quick, he could relate to my sadness and all of a sudden I wasn't sad anymore. | |

| the nicest thing someone has ever said to you Posted: 11/18/2005 10:11:57 PM | That's nice.
Several of the nicest things i've heard came from one friend, but this in particular stuck in my mind just now....
...it was one day i was mad at him and i really laid into him about how badly he was behaving towards someone else and finally i said, "but it's really none of my business so i'll shut up now!" And he said, "i don't EVER want you to shut up!"
I couldn't believe it.
A lot of my life i've been harrassed for even gently expressing an opinion... so for my friend to accept my stinging words like that.... ! I felt honored by the respect he showed me.

The nicest thing someone has ever said to me was on of my students, she told me I was the specialest (her word) teacher in the world. She loves me more than pizza. That made my day!

| the nicest thing someone has ever said to you Posted: 11/20/2005 12:38:43 AM | | "Honey, I'm your grandma. Don't you know you can tell me anything and I'm gonna love you no matter what?" I was 27 years old and that was the day I understood the meaning of unconditional love. She is gone now, but that feeling will be with me forever. | |

| the nicest thing someone has ever said to you Posted: 11/20/2005 12:45:00 AM | I think when people tell me they wish they had someone as wonderful as me, it makes me very proud. My kids said they wouldn't trade me for any other mom out there. My husband told me he couldn't even picture ever being with someone else. I once told him if he out lives me, I wouldn't care if he remarried, as long as she is good to the kids, and he said he would never remarry, because there is only one of me. | |
|
| the nicest thing someone has ever said to you Posted: 11/20/2005 1:53:06 AM | That I was like a breath of fresh air. That it was nice to finally speak to someone that has their own ideas, feelings, and thoughts about things.
That I am a well kept secret...not too sure what that's all about but I was reassured it was a good thing!!

| the nicest thing someone has ever said to you Posted: 11/20/2005 2:40:12 AM | "I'm a single guy and I intend to stay that way...You scare the hell out of me", said by my (at the time) boyfriend's best friend, who later became a very good friend of mine. | |
