| Bald v shaven heads - and is bald beautiful? Posted: 3/17/2009 5:01:56 PM | It's too late at night to read 10 pages of a thread from the year dot so i read a few on the first page and the last pages to catch the drift.
Choosing between receding grey and shaved head i choose the latter as i think its more stylish. <<<<<<< What do you think
I choose shaved over the comb-over, nice length over 'can't be ar$ed to get it cut'.
Last delicious kisser had shoulder length hair and made jokes that we looked like lesbians if we kissed in public
I am not of the sapphic sisterhood but Sinead looked good as did the shaven headed g/f of a very good friend of mine

Incidently I think that in China, its mostly the older LADIES that go bald, but I could well have been misinformed.

| Bald v shaven heads - and is bald beautiful? Posted: 5/19/2009 11:29:11 PM | In my early 30's. I give myself a number 1 cut now. Have been for the past 3 years since the executive decision came to shave it off after a loosing battle. I asked a girl that same question and she said to me that if he has the ability to grow a full head of hair, than it's sexy. But if you can tell that you don't have a full head of hair it's not. lol. Now with that being said, she is one of the cruelest shallow people I know, and in her early twenties.. first time away from home, far from what I would consider a mature adult. (we work together and get along..) Now... with all that being said.. we did the deed a few times.. lol. So.. there you have it. She must have found some other qualties I have that are sexy.. Not all men with hair are good looking / Not all men with no hair are good looking. And there will be women that refuse to date guys that have no hair on their heads... But I would say to them, that's too bad because they are closing the door on a great thing :) I could go on forever... It's not always the clothes that makes the man, but I say it's the clothes before the hair.. probably the eyes before the hair too.. perhaps the smile too...
Sometimes I think about having my hair back, but hoenstly, I don't know how the hell I would get ready for work in the morning! I remember spending sooo much time doing the do... and even running late because I couldn't get my hair the way I wanted it! I would have to get up that much earlier! Also... so handy in the winter. I wear a touque when I go out.. and then when I'm indoors, I take it off and my hair is not messed up! You know how much money a year I save on haircuts? Hurray for the shaved head!

Yes if I'm honest it does save on buying Grecian 2000 and I have started noticing (if I Let it grow out a little) that the fringe line is a little further back than it used to be
On the plus side I do around17-20k a year with a helmet on my head so it's also a damned convenient way of avoiding helmet hair

I think for some blokes losing their hair can damage there self confidence as much as a woman losing a breast to cancer (Im talking about in terms of self confience only, im not saying its worse overall). In which respect some women can be quite shallow and callous . By brother lost most of his hair amd im likey to go the same way

My self ever since i shaved my hair, old ladies cross the road when they see me.. Same person new hairstyle....
This is a true example of what societies have evolved into. I too have experienced this on numerous occasions and the thing that makes me *sigh* on the inside is when they are arm and arm with their husband who years before was made to wear the same haircut I choose to. *shakes head*
Just goes to show if you are not a hypocrite you are not human.

I like stubble on me though.

| Bald v shaven heads - and is bald beautiful? Posted: 5/22/2009 1:02:20 PM | | I first shaved my head about 12 years ago when I was traveling as it was a cheap and easy alternative and I've never looked back. Back then I still had a full head of hair, not the case these days, its not all gone but there's definitely less up there than there use to be. I guess I'm lucky in the fact that a shaved head does suit me and all the people who have known me with and without hair say I look better without. I personally will never grow my hair back, and as for the ladies thing it has never seemed to be a problem. There will always be some who like a bald head on a guy just like there's others who like lots of hair. | |

You know, I've always been a sucker for a sexy shaved head but I've come to the realization that not every 'head' is worthy of showing itself, some people can work it and do it flawlessly how ever others have some funny shaped heads and just look funny... I know thats just awfull to say but its true! But if youre going to shave it, maintain it!!!
It is the same for penises.

| Bald v shaven heads - and is bald beautiful? Posted: 5/23/2009 9:43:10 AM | I love my hair long. Its really thick and i don't need to comb it, lol. I've just shaved it off because i normally grow my hair over the winter, then shave it early spring/summer. Many people say how better i look with it shaved, Its always easier to maintain too. I personally wouldn't shave my head bald unless i was losing my hair but there's nothing wrong with it. Shaven's the way :) | |

suit a minority of men, though that fails to stop the idiots with odd shaped heads trying to look sexy..*hurls*
Many men, including myself have only what we are given. You may claim they are posing or trying to look sexy, when infact its their face-they can't change it. Thats what they were born with. Taking a 2second photo, will result is such negative comments. I've always created a facade to be something i'm not, although ive won varies awards and compeleted degrees and the like, but I have to pretend i'm something i'm not because women judge you by looks alone., I've never cared about what people look like. I wouldn't stoop so low to comment on people with an odd shaped head or calling people who've you assume to be idiots because they don't conform to your ideals. Where do these insults stop? People who've had a stroke, do you then have a go at them? This society is driven by media culture that forces children and adults to conform to an image that is forced upon us.
I saw an interview with the writer of the star trek film, they asked why that captain of the star ship was bald (the one from the 70's/80's) His comment was, that in 500 years time we won't care if men are bald. It wouldn't be an issue'. If more of the human race was geared like this, there would be less hate in the world.

| Bald v shaven heads - and is bald beautiful? Posted: 5/23/2009 6:47:25 PM | | I started losing my hair when i was 18 and decided to get rid of it altogether and keep it shaved. Cant style and the ones that do look ridiculous. So rather than doing the comb over which is really bad and flaps in teh wind or, god forbid, get a rug i leave it very short. This is who i am and i am comfortable with it and have been for 20 years. If a shaved head gives somebody the impression that i am a criminal then they have issues. At least i have a head shape that is suitable to my hair style - or lack thereof. Do you like me because of my lack of hair or personality? | |

| Bald v shaven heads - and is bald beautiful? Posted: 5/24/2009 12:15:34 AM | | Im really indifferant to a thick head of hair or a guy thats bald...however I prefer the shaved bald look or keeping it close to that if he is bald...bad receding hair line umm Id rather see it shaved...Last few years however I notice I do look at quite a few bald men so yes its all good in my book...there are occasions of coarse when it looks better on some guys that others | |

| Bald v shaven heads - and is bald beautiful? Posted: 6/6/2009 12:31:41 PM | Well... As a long haired man realising that as life goes on, the old mop gets a little thinner, (thanks Dad!) there is a dilema about what to do. I have some cracking hats and I am well known for the hair which makes it awfully hard to just shave it off. I could end up looking like Bill Bailey, and he's a funny man! Or just stick with the hats. On saying that, I have loads left for a comb-over. Or a comb-forward for that matter.
The important thing is that I am still me, hair or not. Although I will suffer with cold ears in the winter!

Long hair does nothing for me on a man. Bald or short hair for me
