| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 3/16/2005 5:39:56 AM | | *L* No, on this site I only go bump in the day... that's when I'm online. See... although I don't mind getting hit on, that might be one of the reasons some people are afraid to post. They might want to post and have a friendly conversation. They're afraid if they come and post they'll get hit on at every turn. Again, not that I mind, but others might. | |

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 3/18/2005 10:21:55 PM | Glad I can make you laugh.............
A question for you or anyone on this thread, have you met anyone on these forums? Good or bad?
Personally, I'm here more from a bit of boredom that anything, but I wouldn't mind finding someone reasonably close that I actually have things in common with.
I've been getting emails from women, but they're mostly from Canada, New York, etc.
The only reasonably close women I've communicated with, just aren't really compatible with me. I've had 5 who said the most important thing that indicates compatibility is a mutual love for NASCAR.
Nothing against NASCAR, but its just not my thing.
Where are the book lovers and brainy girls? I'd like to meet someone that I discuss Politics or Science or literature with.......

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 3/21/2005 5:20:20 AM | | No, I haven't met anyone off the forums. I've talked to a few people, and I've made a lot of friends from the regular forums. I'm not against meeting people, but it seems like the people in the GA area aren't as agressive in getting to know someone. | |

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 3/21/2005 7:01:27 PM | I was born and raised in Georgia, but have lived in New Orleans, Chicago, Knoxville, for a time. However Georgia is "homebase".
I know that there are some intellectual women around, but where. Women I've dated in Georgia are either wanting husbands at any cost or are so interested in their careers that they just want flings.
I want a woman that I can discuss ANYTHING with, especially literature, politics, philosophy, and the arts.
I can find these women in places other than Georgia, but not here. The most interesting woman I've communicated with in a long time and would love to date is in Virginia.
I've noticed that other people have the same problem. They find the perfect person, but that perfect person is a 1000 miles away.
This sucks... | |

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 3/27/2005 3:04:18 PM | Hi;I have hesitated to post in the Georgia Forums because I wasn't sure if I would be "accepted" here..I think it's a great idea for us Georgians to communicate and share with others of like interests. However,I have not seen any African/American females or males engaged in any of the on-going activities. So I am thinking:"Maybe I am in the wrong place." Where are the brothers and sisters? Not that I discriminate but you Ivory princess are only interested in your own kind,Native American or Latinos...I would like for this to be a great site for all of us,irregardless of our State or location. But especially so for us Georgians...No,I am not "afraid to post in the Georgia Forums". After all this is a "free site" and I should be able to participate in any and all activities, even if I am not Caucasian;Native American or Latinos...Anyway, I DONE DID IT NOW. | |

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 3/27/2005 4:15:39 PM | Willie B.
WELCOME!!!!!!!!
This whole website is for everybody, even if they are pink with purple polka dots.
I admit that it does seem that these forum threads are used mainly by caucasians with a smattering of Latino and Native American.
Still, I'm sure everyone is with me in saying come on in and start posting.
Willie, why don't you start a thread that touches on your interests, etc.? Maybe other African/Americans are like you and just a bit nervous about posting.
Anyway, welcome again and I look forward to seeing you around the forums.

I've dated mostly African Americans. You'd be surprised. Get yourself out there and make yourself known, you'll see the responses you get if you do that. Welcome Willie, and try to post often.

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 3/29/2005 5:46:58 AM | | *L* Don't expect too much mark... if you hadn't noticed.. it's rare that people post. Burkeclass had an idea that he shared with me earlier, and we both tried it, but still didn't seem to work. He said that anytime we talk to someone from our state, we should invite them to come and play in the forums. Maybe if we all do that we can start generating posts. | |
