| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums???
Posted: 6/22/2005 11:25:30 AM | I agree with you that it is hard to find someone to talk to who are articulate and have varied interests. I do have a guy I have been talking to regularly for over a year (long distance thing!) (He lives in Missouri, I live in Georgia) who is interesting (from prior online dating try). However, I have recently posted a profile on this site--wasn't even really serious--no picture, not much about my interests, etc. BUT I got replies, which surprised me. However, most of the replies were from men 15 to 20 years older who weren't interested unless I was submissive and needy or rolling in money and willing to drool over their superior intellect while being a total doormat. You know, I am not even very assertive, much less aggressive--but it seems I am too old (47), too independent,and have a life of my own to find anyone to talk to who has interests beyond s*x and the Atlanta Braves.
I am not about to flip my hair and giggle breathlessly because a MAN talked to me!
It appears finding a real person is undoubtedly very tough, whether they are near by or on the other side of the planet! | |

I have been in GA all my life and love it here so There is NOTHING wrong with GA in my opinion. Anyways, I like this site just found out about it recently and have made connections with friends that I thought I'd never talk to again after high school. Love ya guys. | |
