Oh no, I thought he was drop dead gorgeous.
It was the crack about the fish. I called it a carp and he informed me it was an Amberjack, so I was being devilish by referring to it again as a carp.

Thanks, the funny thing is, none of this has anything to do with the original topic!
Oh My God!! I just realized that my post above was actually in reference to another thread altogether!! Geez, how embarrassing for me!!
Sorry folks, this is a prime example of what happens when you lurk in the forums too long-- the threads all strat looking alike.....
Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.........

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 1/29/2007 3:13:03 PM | | Nope. Personally? Fear has nothing to do with it... just can't find anything worth posting a comment on...besides the fact that I'm originally from Connecticut and sick of reading racist/ignorant/small-minded comments from supposedly "educated" people. Being proud of your heritage is one thing....putting down others to do so is a totally different story and not Christian if you ask me. What happened to this being the "Bible" belt? | |

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 1/29/2007 3:26:05 PM | To respond to Sparkles... I haven't finished reading all the posts to you and don't know if you're still with this guy, but here's my two cents... Go by your gut feeling...everything you're saying here? Points to the fact that this guy makes you feel insecure and unsure of your relationship with him. If someone is interested in you...if they profess to care for you....they should be wanting you to be Happy...not worrying...not stressed out over them. Personally, I'd run like the wind...."Run, Forrest, Run!" | |

Where in the world did this come from? What triggered this tirade? Tony

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 1/29/2007 4:33:27 PM | | Although I really don't have much to say, since I am kinda new here, I will toss in my two cents worth. I have sent messages to half-a-dozen or so ladies on this site (who are below the gnat line) and most haven't had the courtesy of responding. It seems the polite thing to do would be to reply with a "not-interested note" rather than just hitting delete. Maybe I am too old school? But then, maybe their boxes are so full.... | |

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 1/29/2007 4:51:56 PM | Thinga:: Sparky is referring to a LOT of mudslinging that had been going on before you began posting. It was getting so bad that some regulars quit posting as prolifically as they used to.
cheers~~ | |

| Are people afraid to post in the Georgia Forums??? Posted: 1/30/2007 5:30:52 AM | Part of the beauty of the forum set up is to allow a variety of people to speak their minds, while receiving feedback. It is not supposed to be attacking or threatening.
The written word has no inflection, which leaves a lot up to interpretation by the reader. Thus, I feel some of these threads get interpretted as angry, judgmental or whatever as a result of the inflection placed by the reader, not the writer. In other cases, (no names mentioned here) it is obvious the intention is to antagonise and rile.
Speaking for myself exclusively, I never intend to step on any toes. I just like to throw topics out there which I feel would be interesting for debate or discussion.
I know, I know....could someone start a collection to buy me a life......... (don't you say a word thinga!!!!)
