i just think of it now so much as permanet but more as self expression. my ex laughed at me when I said i would never get an arm band as i would feel like I was in a cheap porn.

Get a full sleeve and feel like you are in high priced porn.

Seriously, what the hell does tattoo work have to do with porn? You would be more accurate to say you don't want to feel like you are in a cheesy biker movie. Or don't want people to think you are a sailor.

Got my first tat in January.. A baby lion crouching in leaves on my right shoulder blade.. it wasn't done well (one of it's ears and the side of it's face is screwed up) and needs fixing but I'm terrified to get screwed with a worse job... I won't name the place I went to but it was in SJ.. I Want another one but be damned if I just run out to the first place i come too.. I learned a lesson....

Like someone said it's Permanent and having a deformed baby lion on my shoulder is less then attractive and lets not mention it looks so faded... and i paid $150 for it so it wasn't chump change....Oh yeah and the guy scared the SHEESH out of me.. lol

Anyone know of any GOOD places and none in basements lol

LMAO Now that scares me.. there are so many around here and not being FROM here it's hard to find one that hasn't gotten the best reviews or who HAS... I don't mind PAYING for what I want but it better be what I want.. Why does my first time at everything have to be so horrible??

Personallly I prefer Epidart . That is where I get my work done, and I have yet to be unhappy. I brought Steph a thank you card and some lottery tickets as a thanks for doing such an amazing job on my back . This is forever and you must be picky with who you choose. I am happy with my guy and plan on heading back in July for more work..

Skinetics in Oromocto, Hometown Tattoos in Summerside, and Epidart in Moncton.

I can't recommend Red Lion in Oromocto because I think that an artist should appreciate the art form enough to have tattoos on themselves. The owner of Red Lion doesn't. But that is my only reason.

the guy who did mine had a book FULL of tats that he "supposedly" had done and they were all so good so I just figured what the hell and did what I had talked about doing for AGES... The next one i get I'm hoping for an origional.. have a few friends drawing up some ideas.. I'm so excited!!! lol

and yes tattooing is addictive.. after i go tmy first i said "NEVER AGAIN" it healed and I thought okay just one more.. lol forget the pain pretty quickly but the next one I want it to be awsome!! UNIQUE.. and done extremely well...

I don't really wanna travel really far you'd think in SJ there'd be at least ONE place that would be awsome but it's not like a restaurant.. you can't go and try em all out... well i could but i might have a prob hiding them lol

Skinetic's dosn't exsist anymore Dave has retired or gone under ground....not sure which. There is a place called peep show in Oromocto though. Had my fist one done at skinetic's but since Dave isn't around any more I go to pins and needles. they did an excelent job on my arm band, and I am going back in Sept for some more work.

I go to the one in Fred but there is one in Saint John and Moncton as well, really clean. One guy owns all three and is actually trying to get a standered set for tat shops in New brunswick, after one of his shops was asked to sell there dirty needles to a basement shop. They didn't, they actually break there needles.

Hard to find the perfect tat, got mine 10 years apart, but have found the one I have been looking for, changed it a bit so that it will be different from anyone else's. I only get black art so I have to wait till fall so it dosn't faid out from the sun. As for your touch up, not sure about the one in SJ but I seen some of the touch up done here in Fred and they were really good.

I'm hoping I can get the perfect touch up.... the poor baby lion looks like someone smacked it upside the head with a shovel.. lol

Mine is quite faded and the sun NEVER touches my skin.. so I know it can't be that.. besides got it in January.. since i'm so pale everyone says it should be really bright.. I haven't a clue since this was my first..

From what i understand (and this may be wrong but it's what I've heard), Skinetics in Oromocto is closed, but Peepshow is owned by the son of the guy who had Skinetics and he used to work at Skinetics too. A couple of friends of mine got their tats done by him back when it was Skinetics and they look great. They plan to go up to Peepshow and get work done by this guy again....they've already been up checking it out I think.

don't know if it's true or not but I heard the more it scabs and the ickier it gets while healing the nicer it'll be.. TRUE?? or FICTION??

Mine was pretty damn gross but was told it was normal..

False.....

Scabbing or no scabbing has little to do with the out come of your tattoo. It depends on your skin and how well it hold inks and how many times the tattooist has to go over it for the color to stay . Some people just bleed the ink. The aftercare of your tattoo does have some effect on it though.....

I have 3 tats, they have all been done by the same guy. His name is John Goodine and does them out of his house. I will never go to anybody else as long as he is doing them. I have taken probably 20 friends there to have them done. He is amazing. I do have three piercings that I had done and would recommend Pins and Needles here in Freddy for either a TAT or PIERCING.... Very very clean place and private if you need to feel comfortable.

This is great! I've been looking for a place in F'ton to get some original work done. Sounds like a trip to Pins and Needles is in order. I had heard about Dave in Oromocto but no one knew how to get ahold of him.
I've got 3 tats right now...all of them done at Epidart in Moncton. All of them scabbed up pretty heavily but the end result was good. I have some fading on the one on my wrist but that's mainly due to sun exposure...so some touch up work is in order. Is there a particular artist at Pins and Needles that someone can recommend for getting what I want drawn up?

I knew Dave was retired, but there were a couple of guys that trained under him that were working the Skinetics shop. If it's closed down now, maybe someone knows where they've gone.

Outworld Tattoo on King St. is one of the best in New Brunswick in my opinion. Mark Jefferies is the owner. Both him and Randall do great work in there. Randall just got done doing my oriental dragon half sleeve.

I'll have to check em out.. still not 100% familiar with SJ but I'm sure I could find it if I try hard enough might go into a few places to check em out before I decide... Need to find a place where the guy doesn't look like he'll smack me upside the head if I cry lol..

Personally I have no tattoos, and no plans to get any either........Cant imagine being in the nursing home when I'm 80 with saggy skin and grotesquely distorted tattoos !!! LOL ( But I do like the look of tasteful tattoos on other people!!)
