| Tattoo's Posted: 6/11/2006 7:03:39 PM | My Ex owns Krystal Blade in Moncton, cCavendish, Summerside, and Halifax. hHe was the only one who did my tattoos.... and I will probably continue to go to his shops to get my tats. You should always, always go to an actual Tattoo shop. I worked in my Ex's shops for 10 yrs and know pretty much anything that needs to be known about them.
When going to a shop to get one done Always have a list of questions that you want answered. Like Do you Always use new needles every customer? What is the process you go through to clean the Tattoo area? and that sort of thing. If they are not willing to answer your questions, then you should be hesitant to get your tattoo there. Make sure the place is a totally sterile environment. No animals or smoking in the area AT ALL. That is why you should never get one in someones house. You are just asking for trouble.
As for the scabbing, if you keep adding the ointment they give you regularly and keep it moist (Do Not overdo it or put too much on) then it shouldn't scab very much at all. But if it does scab over, Do no pick them off and try not to knock them off, because it will take some of the colour with it.
Hope that helps some people.

| Tattoo's Posted: 7/12/2006 6:01:26 PM | | L'il Dave is the owener/operator of Peep Show in Oromocto, and Red Lion's in Fredericton. He might not have any tattoos, but his work is AWESOME! A friend of mine got work done by him, a tiger cub hiding behind a leaf... it looks lifelike! | |
|
| Tattoo's Posted: 7/13/2006 6:57:23 AM | | That's right - Lil' Dave now runs Peep Show in Oromocto. Got my first tattoo from him and it turned out awesome. I know quite a few people that go to him - his work is really good. | |

| Tattoo's Posted: 7/14/2006 8:58:54 AM | | I have three, two of which were done years back by Dave Long ~ who trained L'il Dave who now runs Peep Show. My best friend and her hubby got their first tats done at Peep Show and they are amazing. And have you seen L'il Dave? He's got plenty of ink and piercings.... | |

| Tattoo's Posted: 7/15/2006 7:12:22 AM | Norma, Rodney here in moncton's KB did mine, it's okay but I'm not entirely satisfied with it. They also did my piercing in my ear an in my belly button and guess what? I only have one of those piercings in because of infection due to my body rejecting the piecing in a very violent manner.
That's not their fault.
The next one (This monday) will be done at Epidart in moncton, ironically by a guy I didn't like when we were in high school. Thank god some feelings die. I've seen his work, he does a great job. We're working out some designs because it's gonna be different.
My first was of a Phoenix between my shoulder blades. For those of you worried about the pain aspect of tattoos, I have a bad back with ribs that twist out of place. Part of the tattoo is on one of these pesky little ribs and it hurt like a sonnovab|tch for a mere second. I chose this design because it symbolizes rebirth from what could only be described as personal tragedy and what comes out of the rebirth is stronger then before.

| Tattoo's Posted: 7/18/2006 5:17:11 PM | Second atattoo is currently healing on my right calf. It's of a sea turtle as done in stone. Why a sea turtle? Because they're graceless on land but when they're in their element under water, they're one of the most graceful animals on the planet. The stuff that they have to go through to survive is amazing as well.
Ghandi down at epidart did this one

| Tattoo's Posted: 7/25/2006 7:39:39 PM | I have a gecko on my left shoulder. I had it done a few summers ago, and after it scabbed, a lot of the colour faded. I went back and he redid it for free; however! He totally screwed up the bottom tail outline (on the right, you can see how it's thicker than the rest)!
I'm going to try and get it fixed. Perhaps have some undershading done, or have him sitting on a leaf?

| Tattoo's Posted: 7/27/2006 11:35:18 AM | | well I have 3 tattoos.......all are on my back...2 along my lower spine which are happiness and love in chinese letters and then a lower back one of a tiger lily and vines... I love tattoos but also feel the need to have them somewhere that I can easily keep then hidden for job position purposes. Alot of people don't agree with body art but its personal preference. Its your body and your choice. I think there is too many assumptions put upon people who choose to have tattoes done. They automatically jump to the "well what will you think of it when your 80 years old and your skin is sagging". Well I dont know about you, but when I'm 80 years old I'm sure I'll have alot more to be concerned with than a couple of tattoos on my back! | |

| Tattoo's Posted: 7/27/2006 7:24:36 PM | | I only have one tattoo. I was drunk the night before with friends and we thought it would be fun to go get a tattoo.I had never really thought about it before but said what the hell! When we got there the next day she chickened out and I ended up with one. It is a devil in disguise. It was very suiting for me. I don't regret it one bit but I am not so sure I would get another. | |

| Tattoo's Posted: 1/21/2007 7:41:02 AM | | I have 2 tats: My first one I got on my 18th birthday as a present to myself. It is my libra sign with a tribal design through the middle of it. I got it done at OutWorld in SJ. It turned out really good and I am satisfied. I got my second one yesterday (January 20, 07). It is a cross with a rose in the middle with the stem wrapped around the bottom arm of the cross and has my siblings names on it. It symbolizes my love for my brother and sisters. I got it done at Krystal Blade in Moncton and it turned out good as well, now just to wait 2 weeks for it to heal and it should look even better! After my first one I said I wasn't going to get anymore, but I went and got another one, so I guess what they say about tats being addictive is true lol | |
