Posted: 1/21/2007 3:16:05 PM | I have three chinese symbols in the middle of my lower back. In decending order, they stand for STRENGTH, DETERMINATION, CONFIDENCE. I also have a small purple iris growing on a green vine on the outside of my right ankle. Right on the ankle bone... yeah, that hurt but was so worth it.
I also want a small black scorpion on my pelvic bone. Right hand side probably. That one won't be added for a few years yet but I know I'll get it one day.
If done properly, tattoos are great. I got all of mine done at Krystal Blade in Moncton. Very good reputation and there were really open and honnest with me when I went in to investigate... unlike some other places I checked out. | |

What do you know about black light inks in tattoos? safe ? unsafe? opinions?
I have a couple of ideas in mind that would perfectly suit that ink and that I could live with for the rest of my life with no problems at all. So it's all about the Ink. | |

Posted: 3/20/2007 1:07:34 PM | This is humourous but true. I have no Tatoos but my daughter has two. The first one was a japanese symbol for love on her shoulder. After 2 yrs we found out it wasn't the symbol for love , it meant neglect.
She got quite irate ( sorry guys but I had to laugh) when she went back in to complain to the manager, I cracked up as she fumed "All I wanted was LOVE and all you gave me was Neglect"........they repaired the mistake. true story
They covered up the neglect and replaced it with sunshine and did another in the small of her back free of charge. | |

He is about 30, and said that if the tattoos give him pleasure for the next 30 years and then annoy him for the next twenty (if he lives to 80), then it works out as a good deal ;-)
I don't have any body art as of yet, but I think I probably will eventually get one on the side or back of the shoulder, an area that you can show it easily as well as hide it easily. It will probably be a Canadian flag or Maple Leaf, though I am leaning hard towards the Team Canada hockey logo (the player outlined within a red and black leaf) -- it's sharp looking, it represents my favorite sport, and definitely my favorite country!

It felt a bit different than I thought it would but I found that it was much the same as going to the dentist: the anticipation of the pain was much worse than the actual pain. I went to a friend of mine to have it done and he talked me out of the throat piece I had decided on because of the first tatt pain thing. So I ended up with a 2.5" crescent tribal dragon just above my shoulder blades. It looks fecking fantastic! Can't wait for the next one...lol. | |

It's a Maple Leaf, filled in with the Union Jack.....says alot, and means alot to me, too.....as I believe all Tatts should.

To look at it, the design appears to be a rather 'generic' sun - I didn't want anything that I would have to explain repeatedly... just a little something for me. The artist was great with working with me to incorporate some hidden meaning. I love it... look forward to getting another! | |

What I want to know is how the hell would someone do a tattoo on that area? Would it not have to be...extended, for lack of a better word, for the skin to be taut enough to put the ink on?
