| Tattoo's Posted: 4/2/2007 5:29:39 PM | I don't know anything about tattoos. Where' s the least painless place to get a tattoo ? I am thinking of getting small one about 1in in size on thigh just above knee, will that hurt bad? | |
|
| Tattoo's Posted: 4/3/2007 9:18:20 AM | I think tatoos are pretty cool too as long as it's not too many anyway I don't have one yet been thinking of getting one just don't know where the best place would be to go here in Moncton. | |

The upper thigh, upper arm, back of the shoulder, calf, all seem to be good places. But you can judge yourself on if it will hurt too much. Just ask the tattooist to show you what it feels like without any ink in the tattoo gun. That way if you find it too painful, all you have is a small kind of cut on your leg with no ink marks lol. And then you can choose another spot.
As for the best place in Moncton... well I can't say. I haven't checked out any other places. But I tend to steer people towards KBS (Krystal Blade Tattoo Studio) because my Ex owns it and I worked with him for 10 yrs in the Tattoo business before we split. I know that shop is clean and they do good work.

| Tattoo's Posted: 4/9/2007 12:28:25 PM | | I got one done last summer... my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, so I think that is what made me make my final decision... I had been thinking about it for a while. I have a pink ribbon on my right foot... I see it everyday and it reminds me to live my life to the fullest and be greatful that my Mom is still here.... | |

| Tattoo's Posted: 5/9/2007 1:29:45 PM | well, I think I am gonna break down and get my VERY FIRST tattoo in two weeks time, while I am on vacation..... WHEE!!!!!
And yes, I have decided on what it is going to be. The Red/Black/White (skin tone) logo for Team Canada's hockey team, on my left shoulder/bicep. I was going to go with the Canuckian Flag, but wanting something a little more unique. Probably at Epidart, I have had good reviews of the spot from friends with a lot of body art.

| Tattoo's Posted: 6/11/2008 7:00:07 AM | Have Two Tats.. LOVE THEM.. gonna get more....
If guys don' t like them then that's their problem not yours.. I believe tattoos are a way to express yourself. So don't try to STOP me lol..

| Tattoo's Posted: 6/16/2008 6:44:30 PM | I have no issues with tattoos as I have quite a few myself, but in my profession, it's nice to know that I can tuck them away with a shirt on. But that's just me. I like to be able to hide them when I want and show them when I want. Therefor, I have no tats that are visible below my elbows, or above my neck line. NOT that I have many (only 8 small ones) for now. Soon to have a full back piece (will still be able to hide it at work).
Carry on, Rock and let them be who they want to be.

| Tattoo's Posted: 6/18/2008 3:49:05 AM | I currently have 9 tattoos. I started my inking at the age of 16 and like alot of people I regret my first tattoo. It really had no meaning, it was just because I could get a tattoo that I did. However since then, I have put alot more time and thought into each tattoo and have dedicated myself to a full backpiece at the moment, which covers up that mistake tattoo. I have read alot of posts from guys who say tattoos on woman arn't sexy, and I am sure there are woman who don't like tattoos on guys, but if a person is getting a tattoo to impress others, or not get one because others dont like them, then they are definately not in the right state of mind to get inked. Another thing I don't understand is the "tramp stamp" as people like to call it. It is a very judgemental topic to say that if a woman gets a tattoo across her lower back above her buttocks she is a tramp or a slut or any of those names. It doesn't mean that a woman is permiscuous, however it does mean she has confidence and to get a tattoo in the first place puts you out of the "normal" catagory of society. Just remember, if you are going to get a tattoo, do it for the right reasons, do it because it truely means something to you, not because its pretty or cool and do it for you, not what others think about it. Good luck Inkaholics!!

| Tattoo's Posted: 6/19/2008 9:04:50 AM | | I have 3 tattoo's myself, don't think I'd ever get another one though... I have one around my bicep, one inbetween my shoulder blades, and one around my belly button. | |

| Tattoo's Posted: 6/23/2008 7:11:40 AM | | I have 8 tattoos myself I want to get more or fix up a few I do have...I have 3 per arm one on my chest and back...and yea I got the one on my chest when I was 16, my buddy had a homemade gun and it looks horrible. I have 2 dragons and a celtic armband on my left arm and a puma, a biohazard symbol with flames that needs work and thor's hammer on my right. I think buddy who said tattoos on girls is crazy as long as they are well done and not every shred of skin covered they look great...the only problem I have with the lower back piece it seems to have become a fad and I dont like conformity thats all. | |

| Tattoo's Posted: 6/25/2008 6:05:56 AM | so long as this thread has come back out of the woodwork..... i have a question
does anybody know of someone in fredericton that is both great quality reputable work and also great priced. i've had my picture and wanted to get my first tat done for quite some time now, know exactly what i want and where i want it, and i think within the next few months it will finally be time to go ahead and get it, however as a single parent a tattoo is the lowest thing on my list of financial responsibilities ....... ya i know that good work costs good money.....but is there somewhere that does good work without putting me completly in the poorhouse? ...... its going to be about a medium sized tat on the back part of my shoulder about 3 maybe 4 colors.

| Tattoo's Posted: 6/25/2008 7:39:11 AM | | I understand where you are coming from Red... but... if someone were to quote u $100-$150... to those of us who have gotten tattoos and know the amount of work put into them... that would be a good price... But it is hard to say what any shop will charge you. You would have to bring the picutre into them.. and get them to give u a quote.... and then go from there. At least u will know what the shops in Freddy will charge you.. and you can save or decide not to get it. | |

| Tattoo's Posted: 6/29/2008 6:43:51 PM | I will have to say once you get your first....you will have a hard time stoping at the one! I now have 7 and am looking to get my next soon......just not sure what or where.

| Tattoo's Posted: 6/29/2008 7:00:11 PM | | thanks norma, i've had alot of places give me quotes of between $60 and $80 an hour but no one yet who can give me a time estimate of how long they think the specific picture i want might aproximatly take to complete. Still looking but would be nice to know if i'm saving for an hour or two or more's work before i go ahead and book an appointment. | |
