My impression is that the speed dating is FRIDAY NIGHT.
After reading a little more, I get the feeling its SATURDAY NIGHT.
I found this out when I booked my hotel room ($139.00 plus tax by the way). Front desk told me everyone was registered for SATURDAY NIGHT.
Would someone please illuminate me on this. Guess Friday nite is the Bar Scene Party ..
AND I VOLUNTEER FOR THE FRONT DESK ON SATURDAY.

The preparty is on FRIDAY at philthy mcnastys in burlington
The actual guinness party is on SATURDAY at the hamilton convention centre

She's getting lots of pampering  here at home to make sure she's 100% and I will get her there because this is a party and event I do NOT want to miss.

These are just some questions you can ask to get a hint of what is expected of you :
How long did your last relationship last.
Do you have and or do you want children.
Have you ever been married.
What is your most embarrassing moment?
What are your most misunderstood intentions?
What do you do for a living, and if your not completely happy what would you like to be doing.
Are you a religious person?
What is the most profound moment in your life?
What are the most important aspects of a relationship to you?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Remember in the end it is always a wise move to make a mental note of the issues you consider to be important regarding a partner. Compose your own speed dating questions to ask based on these things and you will more than likely be able to make the best determination for yourself.

Generating interest is something you want to do at this thing...so whomever you are interested in WILL remember you as unique. Also, I like Kris' suggestion questions on "What is the most profound moment in your life?" and "what are your most misunderstood intentions?" These two questions stand out from the rest b/c they are unique and something you don't hear someone saying in a coffee shop or in an elevator on a regular basis.

TAXI SERVICE
We have worked out a deal with Blue Line taxi in Hamilton. To get from the Hamilton hotels to Philthy McNasty's in Burlington on Friday for the Pre-Party is a flat rate of $20 (this could normally cost up to $35 on the meter!). They will also at the end of the Pre-Party pick you up and return you to Hamilton and your hotel for the same flat rate (you may fill the car and share the ride and cost providing everyone is getting off at the same stop). If you need them around town they will give us priority when we call. Just tell them that you are with Plenty of Fish, POF or the World Record Attempt to get these rates and great service!

Is the Convention Center air conditioned?
Is parking available, and is it FREE?
After reading all the emails. these questions remain:
What is the arrangement .. are there chairs to sit on while 3,000
people get registered?
Will you have medical services available in case of an emergency?
Do you have liability insurance? If so, in whose name is it in?
Will there be an attempt (in this so called "controlled chaos) to link
people according to their age group? If NO, SAY SO.
Are we, in fact, just there to put our names on the Guiness List, but
speed dating itself will fall by the wayside?
Is there an "after-party" in the Convention Center (if we survive) ..
what does it consist of? Any music?
What about feeding 3,000 people? Will we be qued around the block
waiting for chips?
Just a few of the questions that CLEARLY remain unanswered? | |
