Posted: 7/19/2006 1:23:05 PM | ok,ehhh,i do beleive i have also read that yes there is going to be food,yes we have to pay for it. water,i have no idea.yes there is going to be chairs.And also of course there is an afterparty at the convention center after the spedd date event. And they are suppose to have great music also. ehhh,i also kind of remember reading that they will do there best to try and have a few different age categories,like if i am not wrong in what i remember reading,19-25/25-45/45+
it was said they will try there best,but there is no garanty i think on those age groups.
I hope tha thelps,but i am not sure about everything,these are just a few things i remember reading when i was browsing threw the forum messeges.

Posted: 7/19/2006 1:35:56 PM | newbelle - I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but most of your questions have been answered in this thread and I ask you to read it to answer your questions! We are sitting 3 days away from an event that will have close to 4000 people at it and 2 days away from the Pre-Party and one of the Event Organizers has become ill. To be perfectly honest I don't have the time to sit and answer a list of questions and Kris isn't well enough esspecially since they have already been answered for the most part, as we are already putting in 20 hour days on this now to make sure we amaze all of you and make it the best we can. Sorry if this answer is not what you where looking for and maybe we can have others post the already posted answeres for you to free us up to make this event happen for you instead of answering a list of already answered questions. I look forward to seeing you there and even send a personal invite to say hi when you get there but please understand how busy we are now.

Oh I googled guiness record speed dating, trying to find out for myself, and POF is all over... there are lot's of online articles talking about it. As Ken noted i have fallen extremely ill with a severe iron deficiency
I will be in attendance on Saturday
There is medical personell on site not only for my health but for your own There is an entire first aid station in case of any issues
There is food and water and everything else NOTHING IS FREE if you think for $ 10 per person that anything would be included you would be mistaken
There are thousands of chairs -- INSIDE SET UP FOR SPEED DATING
If we dont complete this event we wont get the record one of which does not currently exists -- many have tried many have failed POF will be the 1st to succeed...
Now keep in mind with this many people in attendance if you truly think there wont be issues you are denying yourself honesty-- THere are thousands of people -- this is why we staggered arrival times with most of you -- we dont want you all showing up at the same time
Of course you will have to wait in line -- this is obvious and the best thing i can say right now is that due to my illness im going to be blunt and harsh here
WE TRULY NEED EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU TO BE ADULTS -- NOT SWEAT THE SMALL THINGS AND UNDERSTAND THE IMMENSE SACRIFICES WE HAVE PUT FORTH TO BRING YOU THIS EVENT . If you have a question PLEASE READ THE FORUM before you make us repeat ourselves for the 700 th time . Please do not complain about little things that are clearly already taken care of . I mean seriously who in their right mind would put this many people in one room without first aid personal on site . Keep in mind the Co-host is an EMT as well as myself medically trained and the hired first aid officers everything i mean everything has been taken care of and thought through. WE WOULD NEVER EVER PUT YOU PEOPLE IN A SITUATION THAT IS NOT CONDUSIVE TO SAFETY AND FUN.
On that note :
BE ADULTS - BRING YOUR HAPPY FACES - NEGATIVITY IS NOT ACCEPTABLE -IF Y OU DONT LIKE SOMETHING WE SAY OR DO TELL US IN THE PROPER WAY -- dont whine and stew about it come to us - We will be easy to find -- but i can gurantee you if your being a child and whining about things that are clearly out of our control you will not receive an answer you want . The security guards hired will NOT put up with any childish behaviour nor will we.
WE EXPECT - NO WAIT IN FACT WE DEMAND that you are all on your best behaviour
IF this seems harsh again ill reiterate that i felt the need to address this . If anyone at this point is not confident that this event will be absolutely the best thing to ever occur in ontario -- STAY HOME -- WE DONT WANT NOR DO WE NEED YOUR NEGATIVITY !
Now - There is no way of making myself any clearer
On that note im back to bed

I know there will be more than 1 medical professional attending this as the co host is an EMT, I am actually a nurse *I don't just play one on the internet* and I have seen that at least one other RN will be going too, so if anything happens, and it won't , but if it does, there are plenty of people to help!
everyone is going to have a great time , meet new people ,and you never know , might meet that special someone, so smile people , it makes everyone look more attractive.
wow , a pep talk , from me, shocking really - I'm blaming the heat.

WOW you guys are sooo supportive out here it truly is an amazing community
As noted on page 1 of the thread just show up between 3 - 5 and we will get you in if you have not received your confirmation yet
when you arrive you will just need to give us your POF ID and thatll do it because as instructed you have all clicked sign up on the main page already ...
Today is Thursday morning - After 13 straight hours of sleep myself , my tiger and Ken are off to Hamilton to set up thousands of chairs , do sound checks, slide show checks etc etc and make sure that this event is the best thing to ever hit Ontario . If anyone has any questions today please realize neither Ken nor myself will be around till this evening ... and we will answer them when we get back home

I have decided that I am not going to let that stop me from going and having a blast. I think this event will be amazingly fun. I go with no expectations of meeting the one but rather expecting to meet a bunch of different great people. So it is almost official that I will be flying solo to this event but who has time to talk to friends you already have with so many little dates to keep you busy!!! Can't wait to meet you all!  | |
