| AVERAGE SIZE for females....
Posted: 6/17/2006 11:03:16 PM | I totally agree with Masked Hero on this one...reguardless to what the standard statistics say...
"I personally think the word "average" should be completly removed when describing the human body... There are just too many variables that are involved. Age, Height, weight, body fat, breast size, waist size.... just to name a few. Two people could be the same weight and height but their body could look completly different. One woman could have a majority of the weight in her Breast, the other in her Hips or Butt... There is just no way of saying whats "average"..."
Everyone has a different concept on this.
Thats what this thread is for right?
To see what others think average is?
Personally average can fall into my abyss of phrases such as abnormal...normal...weird...freakish...ect...
It's all a matter of opinion...thats my opinion. | |

Posted: 6/18/2006 9:13:12 AM | my average size is 12-14 @ 195#s & can't pinch an inch. It's comfortable & it looks good on me. I'm currently working on getting back there rather aggressively. The chart doesn't work for me, if i followed the chart i would've been unhealthy & looked anorexic. I'm big boned (i wear a women's size 12" shoe) does that tell you anything? my bones won't shrink... these "fat" cells will though..That's my story & i'm sticking to it... lisa | |

Just a little note.. I was the co-manager of a retail department store for four years... and with all your clothing comments ...you should probabley get your facts straight..!!!
The reason they don't have very many 3-5 in department stores is because there isn't a great demand for these sizes... a regular womans body type or "average" as you would say is
anywhere from a larger size medium to a large.... this is the size of todays women...
whether you like it or not...!! You might could blame it on the chicken and all the steroids they put in them... or you might think you can blame it on women and say they don't exercise now a days..... but statistics.. show that exercise and health gyms and fitness is at an all time high for women.... and the mens exercise is decreaseing as we speek... so I do feel that women are aware of there bodies and are still staying active...
I think it is great personally that the typical womens body type anymore isn't rail thin... and rather more like Kate Winslett... not big ....but has curves...... "real women do have curves" and not bones popping out...
I just thought you should know...

about 130 to 135 pounds at best
about 5'4" tall to 5'6" tall
and on a scale of 1 to 10 looks wise about a 7 is avarage to me | |

| The sizes and shapes of people in general.
Posted: 6/18/2006 1:19:17 PM | I am 65 years old and would be the first one to admit that my chest has slipped down into stomach. As we get older, gravity and other things affect our health/size/shape. Things generally begin and/or continue to "head south."
If I were to describe my body size I would err on the side of being a few pounds over weight.
I would prefer to meet a woman and have her think, "Well, he isn't as fat as I had pictured him. What a pleasant surprise!"
However, if I "billed" myself as being average, when I met the lady she might think, "Well, he lied about his weight, I am upset because I thought he would be thinner than he actually is."
Plus, if a person would lie about his/her weight/size, what else might they lie about?
I would rather appear to be a truthful guy rather than the other way around.
Besides, if a person is going to reject me initially because of my weight/size/shape, etc. That's the way it goes! She may just be a shallow individual in many other ways!
That is simply my "take" on the subject. I think that everybody should be entitled to his/her opinion.

No muscle tone, etc. Kinda like a pre-teen. I would much rather be with a man that feels like a man than woman. Women like to feel safe, secure and cuddled. It is hard to get that with a man that feels like a small child. And you wonder what else may be small on them. LOL Just my opinion. | |

I am only 5'6 150 lbs. problem is, with a 27-28 inch waist I am "small" but on the other hand, I have a 44 inch chest...so now what? Wish I was a women, 44-27-38, not bad....lol I don't mean to be a smart ass, I just think we can't really classify any one person by a generic standard. There are just too many variables. Posted: 6/26/2006 6:55:21 PM | I agree with Cajun. Average depends on a lot of variables. Height and weight are factors, but the shape you are in is also very important not only to your looks, but to your health.
All of us are different in our genetic makeup and nationality also has something to do with how you are built. I guess I'm somewhat on the "good" average size for women my age, because I exercise regularly and watch what I eat, but to some people I might look like I'm carrying a few pounds over. Most of those pounds are topside, but it does contribute to overall appearance. I don't however wear the standard 'average' size 14 all over. I wear size 10 jeans...am I average? | |
