Well now you're on 26...I just added you to mine. You are sooooo handsome and wrote a beautiful 'First Date' bit. ...Swoon...
Really think you have a lot going for you and wouldn't change a thing about your profile.
I would, however, add more photos. I love all the outdoor shots and the dreamy portrait shot is great. But you still lack the most important one. A close up of your face with a nice smile. Women want to see your eyes and teeth. VERY important.
Other than that - it is terrific.

I don't know what to talk about first. Have you actually had any serious inquiries?
Your photos ,'About Me', and 'First Date' sections are more appropriate for a Parents Without Partners Group...not a Singles Dating Website.
I understand that you are trying to be honest and upfront, but GAWD GURL...this is too much. And speaking of too much, I quit reading after about 33 paragraphs. What in the heck will you talk about on the first date while you are breastfeeding your baby as you get to know this new man?
Shaking my head in confusion...

I have redone the text on my profile. As far as the pictures those will have to do until I can get some more taken. Those are the only current ones I have at the moment and I know no one wants to see pictures that are over 10 yrs old. Give me your input on the text. Hopefully what is redone is better.
Oh...MUCH better. Can't wait to see new photos and you are right, no one wants to see 10 year old photos. The only exception is if you are showing an obvious H.S. photo or something like that. Some of those nostalgic b&w photos are great.

Quite simply because I don't make any money from it, hopefully this will change, but at the moment I live on benefits (welfare I believe it's called in America). I don't want to put writer as profesion as it would give the reader the impression that they could get their claws into someone who is highly paid and can give them something akin to the Hollywood lifestyle. I believe in being honest on here and I know putting writer as occupation isn't lying, but somehow it feels like it should be.
Hmmm...why not put that in the 'About Me' section? | |

Occupation - I work...WTF? This is supposed to aid you in finding someone to date, not encourage the woman to say "NEXT".
Your pictures are wonderful and show a beautiful smile, nice body and activity you enjoy. Could you possibly come up with two or three more photos??

#2. If you could only take three items on a long (6 month) journey...what three items would you take and why?
Not sure I'd ever go on a 6 month journey alone.
#3. How do you feel about women?
I wouldn't be here if I didn't want to share lifes experiences with one, not sure what you're looking for here. I'm not looking for anyone to control and want no one to control me, maybe I just don't know how to explain it.
#4. What is your most wild experience.
Roller coasters.
#5. What is you idea of an exotic vacation?
Define exotic.
As for photos, I have extremely few, as I'm not photogenic. I'll see what I can do about getting this one a little better since its my most recent ( about 2 years old), but my only other picture I have was taken 10 years ago.

The three items that you hold nearest and dearest to your heart or the three things you can't live without on a daily basis will reveal a lot about you. Do you make every thing this hard?
#3 anwer - Dear God...help me. No help this man. How do YOU feel about women is a simple question. Do you think they are beautiful creatures and you adore them? Do you enjoy the touch of a woman's hands running through your hair...c'mon man, help out a bit. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WOMEN. Pour a glass of wine and sit down and write the answer to this question. You should come up with 14 paragraphs. And I don't want to hear the negative crap about not wanting to be controlled.

If you are having this much of a challenge answering my simple questions, I fear for your very survival when you actually get face-to-face with a woman.
Although I normally don't charge for my reviews, I'm afraid I'm going to have to send you an invoice for this because it has taken way too much time and has quite frankly annoyed the piss out of me. That will be $3,450.00 please.

Again, not trying to make it hard, but only one thing means anything to me, the love of a woman, material things don't mean much. Perhaps though if I had a partner with me, I'd bring along a camera, for the memories.

Ok - you are obviously very handsome, but one photo isn't going to cut it. I wanna see you in your Chef gear, complete with puff pastry cap. You also need an outdoor shot. Take at least three more photos.
In your 'About me' section you identified yourself as a Black Man - why?
Otherwise, I loved it. Nice job on the First Date bit.

Well...like I said earlier, you write your profile very specifically asking for friends. What makes you think that a man looking for a girlfriend is going to stop and pursue you if that is what you want?
If you want a boyfriend...state that. Get his attention, keep it there and convince him to e-mail you.

Well, for starters, you are (from what I can see) very cute. So that is a plus. But you need more photos to showcase this. I really want to see a close up of your face with a nice smile. The body shot is good because it shows you outdoors doing something you love. Can we see one of the front to you too?
I really like your profile. You did a great job talking about who you are and what you are looking for. Unfortunately you took a serious wrong turn down negativeville when you wrote
To be completely upfont and honest about this (yes, here comes the ultra serious part).... I'll take a pass on someone who
1) Has the "I'm better than life itself" attitude...(that's not called self-confidence, ladies)
2) Is playing the field here on POF(if you think always looking for something better works for you, trust me, it doesn't for me)
3) Doesn't know what they're "wanting" on here.....(sorry, that's wasting my time)
4) Has issues of their own they haven't dealt with yet. I've dealt with mine, and only expect the same from someone else. No head games / no bar-stars please and thank you.
Personally, I would take this out.
Other than that...you are quite a catch and I know you'll find a wonderful girl because you are a wonderful man.

Ok, let's try this again. The questions I gave you were not meant to be a strict list of things you have to do, they were mearly suggestions to help you. I offered them to you because you said you couldn't come up with things to say on your own.
Just because I suggested them to you, does not mean you will find the answers to those questions on my own profile. OR, that I will necessarily recommend the same advice to anyone else. I read each and every profile and make my recommendations based upon what the individuals have said - or in your case - what you haven't said.
You should definitely be your own man and say what you feel from your heart. I was mearly offering some advice to help your creative juices flow.
Too often, people write in the 'About Me' section...what they are looking for in the members of the opposite sex. WRONG. This is not the place to describe who 'she' should be. This is your one opportunity to write who you are and why you are the right one for her.
Even the man with the lowest self esteem on this site must surely have something positive to say about himself. I know you can do this if you just take some time to think about who you are and what you have to offer. If you don't like my questions...come up with your own. Tell us (women) what it would be like to have a relationship with you. Draw us a picture.
