| EYE CANDY Posted: 7/28/2005 6:42:49 AM | On a related note...
If THIS offends you, you must live a very sheltered life. Or you're way too easily offended.
"That's not funny!" Yes it is. It always is. Lighten up.

| EYE CANDY Posted: 7/28/2005 9:51:45 AM | Can’t say being called eye candy would really endear me to them. Well, any more then being hooted or whistled at by a stranger. (Ok, a few points for using language )
I’d take it as an intended compliment, but hey, it’s looks. I always see appearance as a bit of a genetic hit and miss. So it’s a bit like being complimented on symmetrical toes or double-jointedness (I’m not, don’t get excited).
Although in this case, at least I’m not a guy! Sausage fest?! Poor guys… talk about being reduced to a body-part. LOL

| EYE CANDY Posted: 7/28/2005 8:49:17 PM | | I'm still absolutely fascinated at how some people can actually know intuitively what the person who did whatever they did were thinking when they did it! Truly astounding feats of magic on here...wow! | |

i hope that wasnt directed at my trvlingman.......
Of course not bro. It was directed at all those people you tell a joke to and they say "That's not funny ! (insert special interest concern here) is not a laughing matter!"
| EYE CANDY Posted: 7/29/2005 6:46:31 AM | eye candy is sweet like sexual chocolate! Gooood stuff
theres nothing wrong with that! u r 2 uptight, its a compliment so just take it
| EYE CANDY Posted: 7/29/2005 8:04:13 AM | | To me its offensive. It suggests that I am just being kept around to look good, and that the guy doesn't really car what I have to say. Now if he said i was beautiful, I would take that as a compliment. | |
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/2/2005 10:02:44 AM | i really dont see the negativity in the two words "EYE CANDY" really now.....someone explain to me what the problem with it is...... | |
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/2/2005 10:17:02 AM | | billthethrill - personally, I don't see what the big deal is if someone said I was "eye candy" - to me that's a compliment. Kinda like the comment, "easy on the eyes". The only way I'd take offense would be if these comments were used in a professional setting - ie work place etc. I read the context in which you used the phrase "eye candy" and honest to God I don't see what all the fuss is about - | |

| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/2/2005 12:39:14 PM | well now thats the kinda comment i was looking for. I guess i didnt really have a problem with it. i mean i know it isnt offensive and i know not everyone is like me so not everyone will agree with me....its just such a simple COMPLIMENT that i couldnt understand why anyone would or could take it the wrong way. thanks spetfire loved your pics too....when i get to ATLANTA ILL LOOK YOU UP BILL IN HAMILTON | |

| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/2/2005 4:00:17 PM | | I dont get this forum whats it about? | |
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/2/2005 4:02:50 PM | blueyebarbie: It started out with the OP asking one's opinion on the following words: "EYE CANDY"
Then it was based on someone else's words about some event. Who he in turn hijacked the thread and made it his own.
I think he's taking it too personally!
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/3/2005 2:21:32 PM | I said " I hope their is some eye candy at our gathering and it's not a sausagefest." she was offended at being called EYE CANDY, but i didnt mean it personally it was just used in general. And that's how it all began. She started this forum and wanted others opinion on whether or not if she should be offended. Thats the story in a nutshell | |
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/3/2005 3:27:33 PM | | U shouldn't be offended.. Honestly u are far from Eye candy | |
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/3/2005 5:33:12 PM | | gotta love the posts where the person^^^^^^^ hasn't a clue what they are talking about | |
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/4/2005 8:13:59 AM | Hey nitebreeze you are eye candy! | |
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/27/2005 8:29:33 AM | is this thing on | |
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/27/2005 8:56:56 AM | | The phrase in itself is not what matters. It's the context of the statement. If a friend says "You are great eye candy." Then it's a compliment because he's using his limited vocabulary to say "you look beautiful" without sounding like he's hitting on you. On the other side of the coin is if some sees you with a date and says "Fred has here around as eye candy." That statement is an insult. It basically points to the fact that you are cute but don't have any intelligence. | |
| EYE CANDY Posted: 8/28/2005 1:55:38 AM | What you should do is tell him there will be plenty of eye candy for US!!! It does go both ways. If you're smart enough to feel offended you're smart enough to make him feel stupid. There is nothing in the world quite like flipping the situation. Tell him there will be , the Chippendales will be turning out is that enough eye candy for him!!! | |
