| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/14/2006 3:25:50 PM | i am positive that the mavericks will win this series they have beat some good teams to get to where thay are now just to clear this up. i am a Lakers fan, and i dont like shaq, not when he played for orlando, LA or miami, as a matter of fact i didnt like him in college...when shaq came out he had the "im the best ever attitude" sure he was the biggest guy in the sport and he used that to his advantage, but did u see what the "dream" did to him. they swept them in 4 and made shaq look like a chump...the dream has way to many finese moves for shaq. now shaq goes to LA and teams with kobe and they win 3 straight. shaq gets way too much credit for this, without kobe there would be no titles in LA. Kobe stepped up and played like a freak....now shaq is in miami with wade and they still cannot get it done..sure shaq is still big, but he is slow and he cant jump anymore...how many blocks has he had this series?1? the point is that shaq things he can be the man wherever he goes and he can do it all himself..he cant wade is a good young kid, but he is not and never will be on the same level as Kobe
KG to LA? that would be great, i couldnt think of a better side kick to go with kobe

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/14/2006 3:32:59 PM | | KG to LA? That would be a good fit for KG, but I don't think it is going to happen. Remember, in the NBA you have to match salaries when trading players. And their is nobody on the Lakers other than Kobe that makes as much as KG does, so you would probably have to give up numerous players to get KG. Like Odom, Brown, Parker and your draft pick to get him, and then that still might not be enough to get the deal done...............Think about it, if you're Minnesota, would you trade Garnett for Odom, Brown, Parker and a draft pick?...............no way! The Lakers are going to have to be creative to get this deal done. | |

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/14/2006 3:42:02 PM | oh i know it would be a difficult thing to get done, i really do like odom, he has been getting better in the triangle offence, but i could do without him honestly i would trade the whole roster for kg if i could possible they can get a few more teams involved to make this happen odom makes big money, kwame has improved and andrew bynum has potential too so im hoping something can get done, but i also heard that they are waiting till 2008 to try to get some other allstars... all i know is that if they start smush again i will be pissed they should be able to upgrade the roster a lil bit couldnt they sign peja and pay luxery tax? maybe sign and trade with brown? the pacers i hear are trading JO | |

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/14/2006 3:48:21 PM | | Yes, they could sign Peja, but he is not clutch, he always choked against you guys in the playoffs when he was still in Sacramento. I think the Lakers should go after one of the younger power forwards in the league. The Lakers could probably pry Chris Bosh away from the Raptors for Odom, Brown or Bynum and their draft pick. Kobe and Bosh would be good for a long time to come if they could make it happen! | |

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/14/2006 3:59:55 PM | | I wouldn't count on Mihm for anything. I'm not sure about Bynum, he really didn't play all that much. Kwame Brown is a interesting player, some nights he looks really good and like he knows what he is doing, other nights he looks clueless. He needs to be more consistent, I wouldn't give up on him just yet............Hey, as far as point guards go, Andre Miller of Denver is rumored to be available, Brevin Knight of Charlotte, and Eric Snow of my Cavaliers are all supposedly open and available. I think Miller would look good here in C-Town, and Brevin Knight would be a pretty good fit for LA, he plays solid defense and does not look for his shot. However, when defenses double and triple team Kobe, Knight is able to hit the 15-17 foot jumper with consistency. I don't know, I can't wait for the offseason and draft to begin. | |

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/14/2006 4:16:14 PM | knight would be a pretty good guy, he almost lead the league in assists andre miller has a huge contract so i dont think we can get him ya kwame looks good on some night, but he needs to remember to keep his hands up, he misses too many open passes. hopefully another year in la will help him hey i love bynum, ever since he dunked on shaq, his only highlight of the year but hes big, young and eager to learn so maybe we might be on to something LA needs some quality roll players, hopefully we draft and make some good trades | |

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/14/2006 8:36:33 PM | | The Lakers need that one other guy other than Kobe who can score and carry the team on his back when Kobe gets fatigued or frustrated and is always seeing traps and double teams come his way. I heard somewhere that Larry Hughes was on the block, and their was some interest here in Cleveland for Lamar Odom, so I'm not sure about a Hughes-Odom trade. The Lakers would get a sg/pg type player who can create and is an all NBA defensive first team player who would fit right in with Kobe. While the Cavs would get that sf/pf player in Odom who can rebound and score from the low post and who can also thrive in a running game styled offense. | |

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/15/2006 12:31:01 PM | hey macktruck..i give you that..this IS the hick state...hmm why do you think i am not FROM here..dumbass. Besides, I refuse to have a battle of wits, or even a small tussle of wits with a cashier from Petsmart.
I never heard Kobe wanting out. You are reading too much crap somewhere.
I know trades, sign and release...dumbass....and I also know how to spell, and word things correctly...there is a thought for you.
You should stop reading these forums and invest in night school, at least aim high in the petsmart chain of hierarchy...it's the least you could do for your future.
And why you are at it, turn ESPN on sometimes, learn about the game.

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/15/2006 2:50:14 PM | im not sure if the hughes/odom trade would be good hughes is a little too overated, and odom is a good fit with kobe, but he does cost too much if anything it would have to be hughes/gooden for odom and someone else, maybe mckie? we need a real pg, brevin knoght would be good, but i say re-tool the whole roster and see what happens | |

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/15/2006 3:20:33 PM | | I agree with you that Gooden is probably on his way out of town, but probably in a sign and trade scenario, most likely to Atlanta for Al Harrington, or to Milwaukee for Jamal Maglorie. Hey, we'll give you Big Z for Odom, straight up! (lol), we'll also throw in E-Snow.........And yes, you're Lakers need a complete overhaul, except Kobe of course. I don't know, do you guys have a lot of salary cap room this offseason or no? You could go after Mike James, the guy from Toronto this past year, he lit it up this year! Hopefully he is not a one year wonder. | |

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/15/2006 4:21:53 PM | | Mitch Kupchak, he is still your GM, right?........I'm not so sure about that guy, he's made some pretty questionable calls lately. Like giving up on Caron Butler, he is now tearing it up in Washington, and he didn't get nearly enought when trading Shaq. C'mon, Butler, Odom, Grant for Shaq, that was ridicuolous. | |

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/15/2006 8:01:53 PM | Back to the point somebody made about Kobe wanting or not wanting out. I recently just watched a interview with him and he said that he was really leaning toward signing with Chicago a couple of years ago when he was a free agent, he said that it was so serious that he and his wife were looking for houses and schools in the Chicago area, I found that to be very interesting..........Because if I remember right, I thought that the Lakers only competition for Kobe during that summer was the Clippers, and Kobe actually thought about going to the Clippers, I had no idea the Bulls were also involved, so you never know!
As for Game 5 of the Finals, looks like Miami is going to tie the series up, I must give them credit, they have made the adjustments and played pretty well. It's on now!

| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/16/2006 8:17:25 PM | | Thats crazy that the league suspended him for Game 5. He really did nothing wrong except put a good hard foul on Shaq, which in the playoffs is not uncommon. Actually, that is what the playoffs are about, hard fouls and making them earn their points from the line. The league should rescind the suspension, but I know they wont! | |
|
| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/17/2006 7:40:26 AM | | I agree, what about when Shaq was fouled in Detroit an he the guy was laid out on his back, I saw no suspsension, not evena fine. Yes Stackhouse smacked him in the face, but where was thwe suspension when Game 1 Shaq foulds sTACkhouse hard. Even Shaq said the suspension is ridicoulous, like if it was punch or a elbow to the face on purpsoe. I understand but come on. its cuz they wanna see a Heat sweep at home | |
|
| NBA FINALS Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks (who do you think will win?) Posted: 6/18/2006 8:51:03 PM | | Man, what is up with Shaq and his free throws, Game 5 he is currently 2-12 at the line. He always said that he would make them when it counts, be Shaq is single handely costly the Heat at a chance at a ring. However, the Heat might still be able to overcome Shaq's problems to win, but c'mon Shaq, can you at least hit 50% of them? | |
