| Any Japanese anime fans here? Posted: 9/16/2006 12:06:01 PM | I like Jap animation also. My younger sister is a huge fan, she has a collection. Me I like the old good DoraAmon. Animation is good. But I prefer comic reading better. The drawing on the book is finer. | |

| Any Japanese anime fans here? Posted: 1/18/2007 5:02:34 PM | | nice thread, i figured there should be a few of us here, i hope we can keep this civil but i'll have to say that naruto is far inferior to one piece, and i hate pirates and have a soft spot for ninjas. naruto killed the story with the irrelevant and poorly done fillers, one piece makes such good fillers if you didn't read the manga you'd think it was part of the original story. | |

| Any Japanese anime fans here? Posted: 1/18/2007 11:46:35 PM | | I'm not a fan as much as most of you guys but i use to watch a few anime on YTV. Sailor moon when i was younger then dragonball Z and escaflowne were great.. Not to much into one piece, naruto and gundam wings.. i rather watch yuh-gi-oh.. lol . Even though it's not straight manga, i think marvel comics definitly brought something great in the world of comic books. By the way, for those who don't know, there are many anime on friday evening on YTV like : Eureka seven, inuyasha, full metal alchemist, bleach... | |

| Any Japanese anime fans here? Posted: 2/10/2007 4:57:05 AM | I like some of it. They have a lot on G4 now. You can watch it if you have illico.
On a side note regarding G4, the fact that they cut Amber MacArthur out of Call for Help is a travesty!
Why is this a Canadian show, but they've gotten rid of anybody Canadian? Leo Laporte, and now some unknown lady from Texas are hosting the show. I say fire them and hire some locals. Leo Laporte is hype anyway. Amber was such a cute woman and nice. That new lady is fugly and dumb.

Moved on now to Bleach and One Piece and I'm liking both so far. And thankfully, Naruto fillers are over... they were just painful to watch.

| Any Japanese anime fans here? Posted: 9/7/2007 6:01:22 AM | I watch anime movies with my 22 year old son every now & again. Some are quite good story wise. However, there is one thing I simply cannot stand about most anime & that is the high-pitched voices of most female characters... I find this quite annoying. Not only does the voice usually not fit the characters profile - it usually demeans it. But then again, anime is very demeaning to the female gender in general otherwise they wouldn't always be portrayed the way they are nor would their body & style of dress be as they are.
My 2 cents | |
