That would be from that deeply thought provoking film, Snakes on a Plane
Yes, the same one that produced this gem: "Fückin' snake get off my dïck!"

OK...everyone has seen this movie...

No Frank, you know, is she better than self-abuse? Does that- does that big ass of hers move around a lot, Frank or does it sort of lie there flaccid? What would you say about that? Would you say that she was a moaner, Frank? Seriously Frank. I mean, does she go "ooooh" or does she lie there quiet and not do anything at all?

Or at least has seen the tv show adapted from the film that runs in perpetuity. That's from Robert Altman's M*A*S*H*. RIP, Mr. Altman.

There happens to be a lot about me that you don't know Mister Smarty Man. There is plenty of joy in my life.

Now that we had our little recess from the topic in msg 578 (OK! Nap time children!), Spellingbee's quote was from one of my favourites, American Beauty. Annette Bening plays Carolyn Burnham - the perfect wife in the perfect marriage in a perfect house in a perfect neighbourhood.

I think this quote from a strange Tim Conway movie seems apropos at this point in the thread...

...why don't you consider getting to bed a little early tonight? You wouldn't want to miss a visit from the IQ fairy.

That sounds so very Python-esque but I think it might be from Dragonheart.

DCG's quote is from Dorf on Golf. Tim Conway was robbed of an Oscar for that piece of cinematic brilliance, I tell ya - robbed!!!

I do have a test today. That wasn't bullshit. It's on European socialism. I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European. So who cares if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists, it still doesn't change the fact that I don't own a car. Not that I condone fascism, or any "ism" for that matter. "Isms", in my opinion, are not good. A person should not believe in an "ism", he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon... "I don't believe in The Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd still have to bum rides off people.

That would be a young Matthew Broderick in the title role of Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
... how about this one?

" No. I'm just late. "
"Flag burning you have to get to?"
"Acually it's my evil needle point conspiracy theory class. You should come. "
"I can't. I left my thimbles and socialist reading materials at home. "

Now here's a timely little snippet...

OK people...do we need to up the methylphenidate dosage again?

Spellingbee's quote was from the hilarious "Zombies meet the Cleavers" flick Fido

As for Sluttina's (such a lovely nick!) quote, my guess would be that it is from the same movie that this quote is from...

"I Can't Have No Affair Because It's Wrong And I Don't Want Earl To Kill Me Pie... Vanilla custard with banana. Hold the banana."

DGC's is from a sweet little indie gem, Waitress.

Ms. S's is from the pimp-tastic Vice Squad.

You know, I'm with him on this one, man... that's pretty fuckin' obscure.

I don't know where that line is from but Selby from Steel Magnolias said something similiar only she said 30 minutes. Oh yeah and I cheated......but I remember that was a touching line!

"Ohh, so fish-people, by dint of being fish-people are less disciplined than non-fish-people? "

and here is another one.......

" Well Nick you just might be a star,
because when it comes right down to it, a star ain't nothing but a big ball of gas".

I'm thinking that would be Mr. Eastwood in The Outlaw Josey Wales

How about "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat..."

I left out the end as it would give the movie away.

Sorry I was at the beach. What I miss? Ohhh ok, sorry.

Actor: Robert De Niro
Charcater: I think his name was Neil McNauley, but don't quote me on that (no pun intended)
Movie: Heat (1995)

Ok my turn.
It's an easy one, but it's a personal fav.
"You all take a good look at this lump of shit. Remember what it looks like. You **** up in a firefight... and I goddamn guarantee you a trip out of the bush - in a body bag! Out here, ***holes, you keep your shit wired tight at all times! And that goes for you, shit-for-brains. You don't sleep on no ****in' ambush! And the next sum'**** I catch coppin Z's in the bush, I'm personally gonna take an interest in seein' him suffer. I shit you not. Doc, tag him and bag him! "
