Platoon

"It didn't matter how big a guy was, Nicky would take him on. You beat Nicky with fists, he came back with a bat. You beat him with a knife he came back with a gun. And if you beat Nicky with a gun, you better kill him. Because he'll keep coming back and back until one of you is dead"

That's from Casino... a.k.a. Goodfellas Lite.

Well, congratulations on getting out of the very dangerous world of haberdashery!

^^^ Rushmore

Over here we got some perpetrators... a bunch of "Ice" wannabes. See, Ice Cold, I'm the man... but we got Ice Tray, Ice Coffee, Ice Water, Iceberg, Ice Cup, Icebox. I mean, it gets real ridiculous when people tryin' to bite your style, you know what I'm sayin'? But hey, that's the way it is, it's the rap world.

Having recently bitten the head off a live chicken, I feel qualified to answer that Spelly's quote came from that 1994 gem, Fear of a Black Hat, a mocumentary of the rap scene following one fictitious band called NWH (Niggaz' With Hats)
This was a great flick...

She's alive, and in stable condition. Just another case of a geek trying to imitate the popular people and failing miserably.

Heathers

Here's an easy one..

Whether or not what we experienced was an According to Hoyle miracle is insignificant. What is significant is that I felt the touch of God. God got involved.

okay I guess it wasn't that easy, Pulp Fiction.

How about this one...

The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth, five trillion dollars. One third of that comes from hard work, two thirds comes from inheritance, interest on interest accumulating to widows and idiot sons and what I do, stock and real estate speculation. It's bullshit. You got ninety percent of the American public out there with little or no net worth. I create nothing. I own.

I can't believe nobody has posted on this one!!
I saw it yesterday and figured it would be guessed right away...but couldn't come up with a new movie line to add for guessing.

Ha! Wrong week! Oh so very Hitchcock and Rear Window. :)

I have never known birds of different species to flock together. The very concept is unimaginable. Why, if that happened... we wouldn't stand a chance!

Why that would be Mrs. Bundy (played by the late Ethel Griffies), elderly ornithologist* in The Birds - a good movie for those of you with ornithophobia to miss.
Keeping with the theme...

Ah, not exactly. A man who dresses in women's clothing in order to achieve a sexual change, or satisfaction, is a transvestite.

Ah, more Hitchcock! :) That'd be from Psycho... in reference to the not-quite-normal Master Bates, of course.

The following is from another rather frightening film:

When the rabbit of chaos is pursued by the ferret of disorder through the fields of anarchy, it is time to hang your pants on the hook of darkness. Whether they're clean or not.

Guess it is just you and me again, Spelly.
Yours would be by "The Chief" (Roger Moore) in that critically acclaimed ** blockbuster, Spice World. Either the Bond royalties were running out, or Roger bumped his head one time too many times doing Bond stunts.
Here is one from another Razzie winner:

It must be weird, not having anybody cum on you.

I'm in good company. :)

That'd be from the ghastly Showgirls... "a work - nay, an opus - heralded for its feminist ideals and its responsible portrayal of minorities and sex workers"... Joe Eszterhas-style.

This one seems a little topical for a thread or two in the forums right about now:

The Brotherhood of the Walking Wounded. It's the largest organization in the world. You don't even know it exists until you're in it. You get your membership card when you lose the one thing that gives your life any meaning, the thing that binds you together. The thing that holds the group in one piece is the fact that the members are absolutely incapable of speaking to one another.

^^Mother Night

Not sure but was that adapted from 'A man without a country'~Kurt Vonnegut.
Excellent author but haven't seen this movie!

Spellingbee......I totally agree with the last line of that quote as it pertains to some of the threads! Maybe there's something in the air!

Most people believe the twentieth century was defined by the death struggle of communism versus capitalism, and that fascism was but a hiccup. Today we know better. Communism was a fool's errand, the followers of Marx gone from this Earth; but the followers of Hitler abound and thrive.

Woo hoo, another contestant! And a very eager one it would appear from the multiple postings! Well, I knew that one wasn't from wer1's latest flick, as the idea that the Marxists were an anachronism would not fit, so it must be The Sum of All Fears
I think this quote is apropos:

Oh, it's a real knee-slapper, friend, if you consider California Penal Code section 4A, 4207A, 597 and 217 - Theft, Kidnapping, Cruelty to Animals and Attempted Murder - something to laugh about.

How about this thread-worthy quote?

Ding! Ding! Ding! That relief-bathing analogy is from Postcards from the Edge.

I think that my idea, my, uh... my analogy of a gentlemen's club is... is fair enough. It's clear enough.

Now you suppose that we all join a club, a gentlemen's club. And then, well, after a time, several of the members began to, uh... began to intrude themselves into our private lives, our home lives. Began tellin' us what we could do, what we couldn't do. Well, then... wouldn't any one of us have the right to resign? I mean, just... resign.

Well, that's what we did. That's what I did, and now these people are tellin' us that we don't have that right to resign.

OK, back on track again people!

Spelly's quote is from Gettysburg
Knowledge Network's (who by the way had a mother who was a hamster, and had a father who smelt of elderberries) quote was of course from Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Now go away, or I shall taunt you a second time!

Here is my quote:

All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
