| Custodial dads how much money did it cost you to get custody?
Posted: 7/7/2008 6:51:05 PM | I spent 18 months and $107,000.00. I recieved 49% custody. Then after numerous attempts to move away and reduce my time she tried to say that I sexually abused my own 2 year old son. After 5 more months of two more accusations and Juvenile Court I was awarded full custody and she was charged with 3 counts of filing false police reports, Extreme Emotional Abuse, and physical abuse. She lost all rights as a parent, and had to complete anger management classes, parenting classes, and counseling. And have supervised visits until she completed all of it.
She told the courts they were all wrong and hasn't done any requirements, AND has not seen our son in over 3 years.
Being a single Dad with a two year old wasn't easy, but he is now 6 and we are doing great. But, my son is happy and awesome. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
