So, where are we going to draw the line? I'd rather die from a big juicy rare steak than from having a stroke worrying about it.

It is very tender and full of flavour and is my personal favorite.

My favorite cut is the rib-eye. I love it seasoned and seared mid rare. After I sear the steak I deglaze the pan with red wine and a little Dijon and some sauteed onions and mushrooms.

So, rare to mid-rare, depending on the cut.
Dang. Now I'm hungry, too!

| How you like your Steak done? Posted: 7/31/2006 5:02:48 PM | Ok... now let's settle this once and for all..... I'be been a cook for many years now and I can tell you that if you like your steaks well done...... I may as well let you chew on my shoes, in fact my shoes probably have more nutritional value in them than a well done steak! Rare to Med Rare is easier to digest as well! And how do I like mind? poke it in the ass and slap a bandage on it, then flip it on my plate... if it moo's .... it's done right... if not.. it goes back to the kitche with a note to the cook... do it right or I'l come do it myself! If It come to me right the first time... the cook get s a large tip! | |
