Yeah, pretty much. I learned to cook from my maternal G'father and father- both of whom owned or worked in restaurants for a long time. It's more than just a love to eat, although there is that (obviously from my pics) - it's cooking for others and having them enjoy it, or coming up with a killer recipe that not only gets rave reviews, but the guests want copies of it too. Or finding just the right seasoning to get subtle layers of flavor hidden in the aftertaste- like a slow gentle heat from some hot peppers mingled with mint and garlic, or the sweet and hot of honey-coated jalapeno poppers.
Just a fun creative challenge that keeps the brain working...  | |

Yes, I consider myself a good cook. I've had people tell me I should open my own bakery. Baking is one of my passions. I usually bake and bring samples to work and when I email them....they come running. LOL
It comes naturally from watching my mom cook. She would stand at the kitchen stove cooking and singing opera. I pretty much do the same but I skip the opera. LOL I listen to the oldies from the 60's and 70's. People say it's comforting to come to my home and smell the baking. | |

Most of the time I treat my coleages and or clients to sampling my creations...I've be told many times over I should be in the restaurant biz. I'm so flattered. I think when you have a passion for something you are a natural at it!!!!
The one draw-back on this is, it is very difficult to eat out. There are not many great restaurants that compare to my fine dining!! | |

Any man that loves a woman that could cook,needs to give me a shot!! There will never be a frozen meal in their diet ever again.
They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach,right??

been cooking since i could remember. been bbqing since i was 12. the kitchen is my santuary and my domain. can cook up the most deliciuos meals from salad to dessert. and make a killer creme brulee | |

Cooking is a big part of my culture and I have been in the kitchen for as long as I can remember. I baked my first cake at six and that was just by watching my mom do it every year. Other than that I love cooking and usually it shows in the faces I've fed that they are happy with what they've just eaten.
