Thats usually what I say to people too.

Also, it's nice to see that there was some effort and thought given to the note. I've received notes with just one line like: "What's you favorite color?" or "I like your profile".
I like lines from songs. I think it would be really sweet (and cute) to see in a note:
"You must have been a beautiful baby, 'cuz baby look at you now".  | |

I'm going WOW!!! Shallow yes but OMG he was! 2nd message is same pic, love smiley and the simple word "please". We did talk with real voice on messenger and I tell you if he lived next door that would have ended my search that day. But hey no way I could go that far. I've had great messages over time....and a few romances....but I never forgot that guy ever. | |

Posted: 10/14/2006 8:13:04 PM | IMHO the perfect first contact message is pretty simple. Anything heartfelt is good. And it doesnt have to be longwinded. A simple "HI! I like your profile. We seem to have alot in common. I would like to chat sometime." does it for me. Although adding a little character to it goes a long way in my books. I like quirky.
This is all to easy though really isnt it?
For me, the real killer is getting past just messaging each other and getting out in the world and meeting face to face!
How do you bust through? "Patience" is the answer I expect... SIGH....
