Posted: 11/6/2006 11:34:06 AM | I enjoyed her profile. Clearly thought out and doesn't follow the same pattern of most profiles (mine included), which makes me thinks she's a bit different, in a great way. A couple of suggestions and observations:
1) I would run your profile text through spell check.
2) I can't read the entire shirt, but once your eyes wander off the obvious target, it appears to say "I love my boyfriend". I'm guessing there is a cute word or two that negates that, but it's not clear enough. Not sure you'd want to see me wearing a wedding ring, a shirt that says "I love my girlfriend" or something similar with I'm here looking for a mate.
3) Why do people put "Prefer not to say" when it comes to whether they have kids or not,
particularly after making the comment about the profile above yours? Based on your comments, I'm guessing you do, and even if I came across your profile I'd guess the same thing. It's like someone that lists "Prefer Not to Say" under smoking. Unless you fell off the turnip truck an hour ago, the answers are obvious, and quite honestly detract from the truthfulness of a profile.
4) I think you worry too much about what people think in terms of having fun. If you're going to show pictures of you having fun, let it be, you probably want someone that would appreciate the "fun factor" you enjoy! I know, I did!
And, who's kidding who . . . what the hell do I know?! Even without any changes I'd take a chance and write and risk rejection! lol . . . Damn the spelling, damn the boyfriend, I'd hope you had kids, and I enjoy your fun factor! | |

Posted: 11/6/2006 12:30:32 PM | I keep thinking that under the guidelines of "What's wrong" with the person's profile" I'm supposed to find something wrong with the person's profile, however, everytime I pop on over, I read the person's profile and find nothing wrong.
The guy above me in the thread speaks his mind well, knows what he wants, he's straight forward and allows some of his sense of humor to show, perhaps COULD show a bit more, but the presentation is good. He COULD go just a little more in depth about himself as the lady fishies will want to know MORE, IMHO. He makes the bow tie in his pix work, which is cool.
He's pretty clear that he doesn't want to deal with a chick that smokes, to some degree, I agree, however, I've met some pretty top shelf women that also smoked, he may wish to NOT exclude them in the future, just carry a can of fabreeze with him and if they smell too "charbroiled", he can give 'em a squirt with that stuff and his nose should be satisfied.
Well, I tried to find something wrong with him, but over all, can't think of anything significant to critisize. I'm sure he'll catch a lady fishy soon. | |

Other than the fact that he is not smiling in the mili pic...he does look rather dapper....*smile*
The only thing I see 'wrong' with his profile is that he tends to sugarcoat things a bit.

just fyi: the nickname "IBdaMAN" was bestowed upon me by friends that know me, has nothing to do with arogance. I believe they call me that because I have raised 4 boys that are grown up and on their own, and I was involved in another relationship after that that produced 3 more children ( 1 that passed away) and I have raised the 2 younger ones by myself. The only negative that I could see is the he needs a few more photos. The black tux is nice, though due to the graying beard/whiskers it gives him a younger Kenny Rogers in "The Gambler" look (Makes me think of a Barona Casino advertisement).
Apology accepted (Though not necessary). You called it the way that you saw it.
You’re mistake with POD1RN was attempting to be complimentary at the end. You should have left it as a critique rather than turning it into a backhanded compliment.

Hmmm...........Well the main problem I have with this profile is that he lives too damn close to me and his ad looks like some kind of dating website solicitation! hahahaha. Yea, no. I think it says "hey look I do all the things little boys want to do and have the toys your mommy never bought you"! Its probably just my male jealous envy thing though, and thats okay.
