My mom plays lotto when it gets to a certain point...and she has always said that if she won, my brother, myself, my kids who are 18 or older, and her are to all say that we went in on the tickets...makes the tax rate lower and more people winning it...
So...if any of you hit it...you are welcome to say I went in on the ticket with you!! LOL | |

We are on the same page there and I would also give money to sanctuaries that take care of large animals like elephants and big cats or unwanted circus animals. Fund educational programs for children to help them understand why it is important to take care of the earth and be kind to animals and offer college scholarships for young people who want to go into careers that help animals or the environment. | |

I'd also kick a nice chunk of change to one particular friend who is one of the most unselfish and deserving people that I know.
With that many fun tokens, after investing a good chunk of it, I would spend some of that money traveling the world ... and go to a whole lot of music festivals ...
I'd probably have a few toys, but nothing to tie me down ... definitely would purchase an old XKE Jaguar convertable ...
I would like to establish some land trusts in various parts of the country / world ... consciously develop the land and make it available to educators, artists, healers ... also kick some down to various organizations that are attempting to make a difference ... Shriners Hospital, Make A Wish Foundation, Public Broadcasting ... organizations that fund art and culture ... I would be happy to fund the development of stem cell research ... hook deserving kids up with the opportunity to go to a first rate college ... also would fund animal rescues ...
Truth is, I'd probably give quite a bit of it away as my biggest desire would be to be Secret Santa ... I only need so much.

I would take care of my family and friends, for sure, and I would enjoy flying again. I miss flying for the "fun of it" and taking friends to fun places like Block Island, the Vineyard, Nantucket, etc. I would also look into buying property in Canada, and take some of my winnings to help get universal health care passed in the United States. We're here to have fun fantasizing about the ultimate dream come true--to be able to help family/friends, those in need and enjoying some things in life without having to worry about money. Nothing turns me off more than people who have lots of money and whine about paying taxes. They should be grateful for what they have instead of complaining. I would give anything to be rich enough to not have to worry about money ever again, taxes be darned--I would be grateful for the huge sense of relief after all my and my family's bills are paid in full, and we don't have to worry about money. | |

Great idea I have been thinking about this myself for a long time.

Buy my folks a home in BC(my mom has always wanted to move back) with more than enough money in their bank accounts to have a luxuriant retirement, I would also buy them a motorhome and finance their dream of driving across Canada spending time in every province. Pay off my sister's mortgage, and buy my brother a house. Put a huge amount away in trust funds my all of my kids, neices and nephews etc to be dispersed based on certain qualifiers, the first being university, once completed they will be given 'x' amount for travel, a vehicle etc. At 30 they would be given enough to buy a home, and the balance to them when they marry and start a family. I would give a huge amount to my church. Adopt several children.
My kids have their own lists too if I won, DD wants a horse, DS wants every video game system and little DS wants a real fire truck lol
I would make sure we took a trip annually somewhere in the world. I would continue homeschooling without worry about the cost of materials etc. Oh and there is certain surgical procedures I want done that I would pay for. After that I would start a free 24/7 daycare to help out those that are just trying to get by, you know the ones that make $5 too much to qualify for daycare assistance but can barely support their families. | |

I'd waste some on trivial pleasures, then do a bit of traveling with, hopefully, a companion I meet here. | |
