The beer was a good price 3 birds did it.
Glow in the dark stuff was cool, I didn't get any but them the breaks
PPl at the door were very nice. The wait staff was very polite.
Sausage on a stick I'm sure they were good eats but man I had to LOL when I seen that.
There was some hawt dudes there forsure, thanks for showing up.
Oh I had fun in the dark alley with Mizliz and ? sorry I forget his name....hehe
Some of the singers were real good, some not so but hey it was croaken night eh,! The DJ did a good job trying to mix it up.
Lock n Key would have been a blast.
Don't give up on Hammertown, the patio nights I hear are a blast & rumor has it those crazy peeps have a party in the works? I did say rumour eh.
As for me meeting ppl, well I did mean "man / men " in my last post ( no offence SnS your a cutie forsure), I met the person I wanted to meet so I was giddy in the pants to have met them.I found the location a bit hard to mingle in that's all I was suggesting,no need to get your knickers in a knot.
I do have to add, I'm a big girl I know how to meet more ppl in a single night. I did I fine job at The Brant Pond party.
Yeah ,no wet willy but it's alright, do we really wanna see them shrink, NOT! We all like to watch them grow.

I like too thank Amy and Nikki for setting this up for us lonely hopfulls that are out there.

Elliipes it was great plesure to meet you and your Mom surfergirl you both have great smiles. And ellipse you sounded great up there you had nothing to worry about and i hope to hear you sing again sometime.
Rehtaeh it was nice to finaly say hi to you as i was too shy to apporch you at the other events and you have an awsome smile and have a nice singing voce too.
Dave it was nice to see you there too to take care of the ladies needs i just don't know how you have the energy to do that.
Sunflower its allway nice to see you and your smile it just want me to smile

Posted: 6/18/2006 6:53:19 PM | | i have just decided to say that the forum moderator has a very valid point, if the party doesn't interest you then don't go, don't try and cut down the host for things that you didn't like, instead of doing that why don't you take the responsibilty of being a host and try it on your own, i'm sure that you will find that it takes alot to be a host and come back and apologize for, frankly, being an ass! i honestly want to see more of these parties held by habs suck ass and hamilton chicky because they have the courage to pick up the torch and actually carry it as opposed to the people that want to sit back and complain that things didn't go their way. i've decided that if habs suck ass and nikki don't host another than i will, so if anyone is interested in coming please let me know and i will for sure do one | |

I was unable to attend the party last night and had discussed with her the lock and key notion
it is where women get locks and men get keys
the object of the evening is to go around the room to meet as many people as you can that night to see whos hardware you match . Everytime you find a match you are given a ticket for a draw at the end of the night so you reallyyyyyyyyy want to meet as many people as you can . WE do this on a regular basis here in Niagara .. I was willing to offer my locks and keys and planning expertise but i had another lock and key party that night scheduled before Boomers so the locks and keys were in use. It would cost wayyyyyyyyy too much money for habs to buy the locks and keys and that would be unfair to her.
Sorry i missed the party but look forward to seeing everyone on July 22nd when we smash our way into the Guinness book of world records .
If anyone is interested in the lock and key party notion let me know and i can lend my locks , keys and expertise -- free of charge of course because thats what the POF community is all about

I only saw a few people there I recognized from other POF parties, but then I see this thread and apparently there were quite a few people I knew there, but I never saw them! How strange! Was there some secret other part to the bar that I just never discovered?!?!
Anyway, it was an interesting night! I didn't really seem to meet too many POF people.. as always, I seem to attract the locals and not the actual fishies on the site!
But either way, I got to meet new people.. so I'm not disappointed with the night at all!

I thought everyone was great, It seemed all had a good time. I have seen a lot of wet T shirt contests and felt this one was done in good taste. I must admit Habz i did give up my water bottle, but thats ok I only cried for a moment, hee hee. By the reaction to wet T contest im now glad I left my turtle pool and tub of KY in the trunk

Posted: 6/19/2006 11:11:39 AM | I was supposed to go to a Birthday Party Saturday night, but after a long day of Riding my bike, I was not interested in Driving all the way to Mississauga, so at the last minute, I decided to venture out to Boomers to see what all the "hub bub" was about. After all, it's only about a 15 min drive from Stoney Creek and I felt like belting out a tune or two.
I showered and slapped on a pair of jeans, a T-shirt and a little cologne (no, not old spice ...gawd!).
I hopped in my truck and drove to the bar.
Upon entry, I saw that there was quite a few people there. I kinda brushed through the crowd, after some guy pushed a ticket into my hand (still wondering why).
On my way through the masses, my eye caught a sweet little blonde, dressed in black. She looked awfully familiar, but I wasn't quite sure.
Not knowing any better, I made my way to the bar and ordered a Corona and began to scope out the place for those Karaoke books (I used to be an old hand at Karaoke bars back in the day, yo. some may say "a ringer" so to speak). After asking some folks for the book on their table, I scanned through it for some of my favorites. Damn! None of the ones I used to love were on the list! Had to scan further, so I looked and picked out 2 I like and jotted em down.
I walked to the Karaoke dude and handed them over, only to be told that I'd be waiting FOREVER to get a chance to sing (by the chick that planned this shin dig). Might as well have said "nevermind buddy". The Host told me he'd get me in, so I walked away, beer in hand, wondering if I should have even bothered.
Since I was flying solo, I went back to the bar area, where I began to make small talk with two guys just chilling at a bar table. Nice enough guys. I then got into a balloon fight with another table, no one was hurt, thank God! Whew!
I scanned the bar again, had another Corona and just made jokes with the guys, every so often seeing the sexy blonde that caught my attention earlier.
Having no nerve whatsoever, I didn't approach her and I became tired of watching the restless natives dancing on the dance floor. The Karaoke Host put some dance music on at one point, then one Karaoke song (event planner) and then back to dance music, whats that all about ? I finished my beer and called it a night. I knew I there was a better chance of me winning the Miss America Pagent then getting a chance to get to sing my song. Besides, it was far more exciting to follow an ambulance on my way home.
The only thing that I really enjoyed the entire night was the cute little blonde that looked oh so familiar.

When I said that it would be a while before you could sing it is because it would have been. The new rotation was set to start after the break we were about to have for dance tunes... and there were about 30 singers if not more and it was hard to cram everyone in, while keeping up with the request to play 'some' dance music. I was being honest so that you didnt get pissed off about waiting a while.Apparently, it doesnt much matter though, as you have already voiced your opinions. Not everyone at an event will be satisfied and I am fine with that, but come on people give it a rest already!!! I thought we were past the complaints? I mean, How long did it take you to write that all out? I know it's two minutes I will never get back! All of you that complain, do you really have nothing better to do with your time than whine and **** about what you didnt like about something? Dont come to the next one, its simple. But give it a rest for cryin out loud!!! | |
