It's not a deal breaker for me, but I do like long ( shoulder length) hair.

Running my fingers through it while talking ( or doing other things) , brushing it gently aside to give a kiss ......sigh.

Watching large snowflakes falling on it on a quiet moonlight winter night outside....

Take heart! Not many women can wear short hair and wear it well! If u like your hair short don't change it for anyone. But if u feel self concious about it then u were putting too much stock in your hair as a symbol for your feminity! A short hair female has no fear, she has confidence enough in her looks and spirit to not be troubled by what society looks at as a highly femine trait.
I've had my hair short since 12th grade and love it that way. I think I look best in short hair. Most men have told me that its sexy! And I have never had a lack of dates!!! So u go girl, knock em dead with your new tempory look, it was for a good cause!

I agree you look great and your hair is very short.I have met some very sexy femine women with very short hair even shorter then yours. Its very liberating to to them and like it when a man likes it.Its nothing to do with being femine or whatever. It has to do with having their hair they want it.

I agree and csame with men with short and with bald heads. If yo uliek it, KEEP IT , and DO NOT change it for anyone!!!! If they can't look past your hair or lack therefore, they are shallow superficial people that are don't know what is good for them.!!!!

^^^That is because you are bald and you want everyone to like you for it. Despite the fact that not all women prefer bald men or any other type for that matter. If they don't do that, you call them shallow. Honestly, are any of your posts without that dreaded "S" word????

Back to the topic: Short hair/long hair/no hair, what does it matter????? If you look good in it and you know it, who cares what others think?

Hey hun..
Hair is hair...It grows back..If any man doesnt want to date you in the meantime thats his loss....besides if Physical appearance is all that matters then you are better off finding out before you waste any time on the loser!! LOL
I for one take my hat off to you... you shaved your head for Cancer? Thats the sweetest thing ever...
I dont know any one who wouldnt shave all their hair off for their mums... after all we wouldnt have it if it wasnt for them in the first place!! Teeheee..
Best of luck!

I think it goes in spurts, some like it short others like it long. I have had plenty of men tell me that as much as they like my long tresses that they would like to see me with short hair....yea, ummm, no. I have had long hair forever and now that it is down to my butt, I am not giving it up. Of course I have not been faced with such a noble cause as yours either.

I have a little mohawk look not bald, but thats not the issue or point. I was saying to the OP and to anyone, that nobody should have to change their hair style for anyone. Let them be who they are. I just don't like people men and women judging other men and women for how much hair or what kind of style they have. I see that as narrow minded and just silly if you'd ask me to not give another person a chance to get to know them over something silly. There is nothing wrong with what I said, I was just making a general statment. Thats all. I explained this in more detail about preferences and stuff. We all have them but it's what we do with them and whether we give others that may not fit those preferances a chance and get to know them for what they have to offer.

I also would like people to like me or dislike me because of my looks, I would liek them to see me for me asnd who the real me is and what i can offer as a person and whole human being. I just wanted to clear that up.

Also I agree with what you said Flavia in your last paragraph and I don't know why there is a problem or disagreement, because thats what I meant. You said it well.

The OP did a marvelous thing and I was just expressing my feelings of people turning down people who do these things. It took alot of courage and I can really respect a person like that. I didn't make any false statement not one.!!

hair matters to me when it comes to a guy. I prefer guys with short hair. I think its because they are attracted to females so longer hair makes them look more feminine. Im sure if they knew why you did it they would change there opinion. To them maybe they think you like there hair like that.

i think its awesome that you did that just to make somebody else feel like they arent alone. not many would do that.

id be with a bald girl who thinks of others first over a selfish girl with nice hair anyday. thumbs up to you. middle finger up to the selfish girl with nice hair.

you go girl. its only hair and does grow back. if no man can understand why you did it and drops you cuz of it. then you dont need him. i mean hey i thought sinad oconner was hot, even she had a shaved head.

not to mention if you wanted to diss the men for having shaved heads. thats all up to individuals....

but now dont get me wrong i absolutly love a woman with long hair wink wink lol....so yes i would date a woman with or without no prob here with that

It seems to be, bar none. How nice of you to shave your head in sympathy for your mom. I hope she's made a good recovery. Maybe you should mention this in your profile. It's a good way to weed out the jerks, IMO. I'm unable to let my hair grow long, because it's very thin and fine. American men seem to be obsessed with long hair on women, not sure why.

I love hair, but not in the "more the merrier" sense. It's a win-win situation. I check out it's functionality from my point of view. I remember when I used to have super-long hair, and I loved every second of it. I'd take my shirt off just to feel it down my back. I'd love to have a girl back up to me and flip her hair over my back.

Girls melt like hot butter when you kiss em on the neck, and kissing a girl on the neck is even better when unaccompanied by saying "pthah-thugh" as you attempt to avoid chewing on hair as much as possible. Which isn't to say I don't like chewing on hair... I just want to have a choice.

That being the case, I suppose I like hair between chin-and-shoulder length best. Just enough to provide a handle on those rare nights when I want to do it caveman-style. Short enough that I can see the rest of her body unenhairenated.

Too, short hair has a bit of sass 'n spunk to it. I love a look of confidence. Let your image express your personality. You be you -- I'll just appreciate you for yourself. I think mohawks are awesome. I'd be skeptical about a lady with a buzzcut or shorter, only because that most frequently means she's a butch male-hating lesbian... but I'll give a chance. Cut it how you want it. peace

Just trying to help here. Have you tried a product called CAT? it's a hair protein treatment that makes the hair grow faster and thicker. Its pretty costly at beauty salons, but you can get it online at a pretty reasonable price.

Having one extreme and the other (I went from waist length hair to practically a buzz cut and eventually back now, hip length)...I can honestly say that I've never had a guy not want to date me because of my hair length. I keep my hair the length I want it for me.

Kudos for you doing what you did for your mom.

In 2004, I offered my dad my locks for a wig if he so chose to have them, when he went through his chemotherapy treatment. He was lucky though and never totally lost his hair.

Thanks, bar none, for starting this thread. I've often wondered what the perceptions are out there, as I have short hair as well. I have very thin hair, and when I "ask the audience" everyone seems to love when my hair is short. I seem to garner more compliments from older gentlemen.
I love men with long hair or short hair. Women can be visual too (I people watch all the time), but it's personality that holds my attention.

^^ yeah persanality is what counts. Hair is not something you should worry about. As long as you have a great smile and nice eyes that is awesome. Hair or lack of should never be a deal breake for a relationship.

No worries... Long hair for men seems to be a turn on, but some of us look just as good bald or with short hair! And with men- it really does not matter, but baldness turns me on for some reason. Baldness worn shows strength.

I like all the various hairstyles. The only one that looks way out of place to me is breaking the "hair should not be bigger than your but" rule.

Some of the bald women look very sexy to me. Sinead O'Conner for example.
One particular fantasy I have involves a shaved heid'ed 'Eagle Beak' Women.. and rubbing that bald heid down with hot oil and ice cubes. Apparently this is not a fantasy most guys have. I like to maintain a 'Ravens Nest' myself.. but I would shave it off in a heartbeat, if the aforementioned shave heid'ed Eagle Beak Women wanted to reciprocate the hot oil and ice cube treatment..

I think that 'Eagle Beak" Women can pull off the bald head look much better than those who are smaller of nose. B.T.W. "Eagle Beak' is not intended as a slur. The Eagle is our national symbol, it is a patriotic feature to have.

I for one have long hair. It hasn't gotten me a date or even a relationship. I'm also one of those women who carries around some extra pounds.

I find men do really like my hair when they see my picture and ask me questions about my hair. They also like my tats.

I personally like people for who they are and not so much about their looks.

I have never read a profile that said the person they want to meet must have long hair but I have read some that wanted slender, muscular, athletic type women. If you can't see past the hair and the weight, then you don't deserve me.

Bottom Line: WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.

Well bar none like someone else said, I do feel sorry for you becuz of your situation with your mother who had cancer. I can relate to that, my mother died 6 years ago from cancer. I think that is an amazing thing to do; shaving your head. I would be very attracted to someone if I knew the circumstances were those when they shaved their head. If someone picks that as a hairstyle cuz they like it, I would not be attracted to them. But your's was out of love which u should feel proud of. I personally like both long hair and short, but short hair is very sexy to me. I don't know why. It just fits my ideal woman I guess. I love short hair. But I would still be very attracted to a girl with long hair too. Hope I was helpful.
