short hair vs long hair

I've had long hair for most of my adult life. Currently its down passed my waist. Personally Ive seen the difference in attention when I have my hair up and when I let it down.

Since my hair is so long and because of the line of work I do, most of the time my hair is in a braid. Now, when I go to the store , nothing. Men dont notice me at all. But let me let it hang when say i'm going out of the night, and the heads turn all over. Now, maybe its because not many women have hair as long as mine and so they look or maybe its because they really love it. I'm not sure.

I think its an honorable thing you did to shave your head. You have more guts than I do. Many times I've gotten mad at my hair and thought.."today i'm getting it cut" and when I would get ready to leave to get it cut, I'd chicken out...lol....

Remember your beautiful with or without hair!!!

I wouldnt have thought it mattered, ive always had long hair due to it being curly,if anyone is going to become unintrested in you just because you have short hair i guess they arnt worth worrying over.I'm sure there are lots of good guys out therethat prefer a personality to hair length.

I agree totally. If someone is silly enough to judge anyone man or woman by their hair and how they wear it or the length or if they have a shaved head/bald ect, ....those people that are judging really are narrow in their thinking in terms of spotting what really is important in a human being.

Op, It's a wonderful thing you did and for anyone to do that I think it's great, and you shouldn't worry what some shallowheads think if they decide to hold something like hair or lack of or whatever style you have, agaisnt you.

Hair doesn't matter to me and a woman can wear hers any way she wants, if she wants even to shave it bald....I will not have a problem with that, I find it looks good. It IS the person inside that counts, and even when it does come to physicality, there are so many more important things on a person then their hair, like for example, good hygien, having all their teeth, having clean teeth/white teeth, having a healthy weight( not being too big or too skinny), the clothes one wears, how one smells, peoples eyes, faces, smiles, body ect....all these things mentioned are way more important then hair on a man....or even a woman. Sure it is more normal for a guy to be bald, but this also applies to a woman in my view. I think anyone who discriminates against people over this have some sort of major insecurity, perhapes bitterness/anger, maybe they are just very ignorant and apathetic and shallow lacking any depth to their character which ultimately makes THEM look bad, to have little or no depth of character is a horrible situation for a person to be in whether they know it or not, because they are one of if not THE most miserable people around.

OP you did a great thing , and anyone....man or woman that holds something like this against another person, they are a waste of time and they shouldn't be dating until they get there minds and hearts together.

God Bless you Op, it takes alot of courage for you to do what you did.!!

Although I prefer long hair on women, I do not find short hair unattractive and I would certainly not discount any woman who has short hair just for that reason. I agree with the other guy who posted on here saying that women seem to have a hair length hang-up much worse than men do. I'm a guy with long hair and I get blown off by women constantly just for that reason, before they even bother to try and get to know me.

Think this is just too radical for most men to handle....but then ask yourself, are you wanting most men or one that is special enough to see your beauty in all forms? Alot of men were dumbfounded when Britney Spears did this also so don't feel bad.
