Evilweevil said "Just write a letter to anyone and then address the envelope just
"To a Soldier" and somebody will get it,thought i give it a try and yes i received a
reply from a soldier, but it was a T.A soldier from our local black watch barracks based in my home town of Perth..so you might want to mark the envelope "Oversea's soldier", plus if your a guy it might be better putting Female soldier..unlike me who just marked it soldier and
guess which sex i got!!...

I thought all soldiers were gay and were only in the army because the navy has its' quota.

...did you notice I was tactile enough not to mention their illiteracy?

little angel,

I searched the internet for e-bluey (thanks mob) and signed up there. Unfortunately you need to know the details of someone out there.

Luckily my mum's friends son is out there and I got his details, I'm currently waiting to hear back from him and when I do, I'll sort out some lovely soldiers we can chat to.

Obviously I'll have the pick of the bunch but I'll give you first pick on the rest!

Seriously, I'll let you know when I do. Alternatively, email Evil and I'm sure he'll let you know when someone comes up (hope you dont mind Evil!)

Or you can always do what Evil said and send a general letter.

With regards to some people's comments regarding not finding a 'gorgeous hero' etc, please don't forget that regardless of what they look like or what job they're doing - even if it seems as non heroic as a chef, these guys and girls are out there risking their lives to try and make this world a better place.

Even if you end up being a pen pal to a 17 year old gawky teenager, don't forget they're 100s of miles from home and most just want someone they can talk to! It doesn't have to lead to romance!

Off limits - when you say more info than the website what do you mean?

Do they give you details of guys and girls out there you can contact?

If so, and you have a couple more than you could cope with, I could always take a couple off your hands.

No Charms... It doesn't give you that type of info... Just how to work the site properly as i feel the site is very complicated without the letter i have!

But it does make it a little more understanding for Southerners like Me

If you have registed you should recieve yours real soon, then you will know what I Mean!!

Ok, cool!

I can't wait to really start messaging people - even though it takes a good couple of weeks!!!

I haven't spoken to my mum's friends son in ages and it'll be nice to catch up and apparently he loves receiving messages as do most of the guys and gals out there.

Hopefully I'll make some wicked new friends. Can't wait!!!!!

I got my e-bluey paperwork through day before yesterday and I'm just waiting for a reply from my friend.

I'll ask him for the details of some of the others out there and if you want me to pass them over, just send me a personal message and I'll get back to you asap..

Hey borostu!

Any you want to pass my way would be great! I'll get right on it!

I think you're all doing an excellent job and I think the engineers are probably the most missed out group when it comes to letter writing.

I'm pleased that this thread has actually been of some use and cheered up at least one of you!

Hopefully when I can get onto e-bluey (seems to be having problems at the moment) I'll be able to cheer a few more up over there.

And I'm sure Leece, Poshiam and the others on here will too!

And don't forget lads, there are ladies out there too!!!!!
