| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/17/2006 11:19:45 AM | | My whole back is a tattoo and for me its a personal thing. My tattoo is for me not for anyone. I will never have regret even as I age because it is part of me and who I am, it has a whole lot of meaning to me. | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/17/2006 3:18:06 PM | | ok, so I already have a tattoo on my lower back. Now I would liek to get a tattoo of my family crest...I'll probably marry someday and change my last name and I think it would be cool to have that as I am very close to that side of my family...I don't want it visible at most time...so...any ideas where to put it? it would look weird somewhere else on my back I think...I have no clue what to do.. | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/18/2006 7:59:51 AM | | I think a family crest is a great idea....I have never seen that.cool.I would have something like that up high, mabe just above your shoulder blade....it would be under your shirt.....but you can show it off in the summer time. A friend of mine took a regular tank top with her to the tattoo place so when she got her tat,she knew exactly where it would go to be covered. | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/18/2006 10:31:25 PM | | I have a small tat on my lower back and I was facing the same issue - I want another one I can hide, but will it look stupid to put a second one somewhere else on my back? I do like the shoulder blade idea though. I love my tattoo and don't regret it at all. Oh, and I know lots of professional, classy women who have tattoos. But to each his own - if you don't like tattoos on women, don't date women with tattoos. It's as simple as that. | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/19/2006 4:59:10 AM | Hmmm!! Lets see. Folks want a tattoo but don't want it visible the majority of time. Why do you want the tattoo then? As a personal memory?? Well, you have your memory. If it's on your backside you're not going to see it much yourself. Thus not always a reminder. If it's personal to you, does it matter if it's always visible? As long as you are enjoying it, it doesn't matter what others think. The people that don't want it always visible seem to be concerned what others will think. That should never come into the equation. If you're going to get one then be proud of it. Flaunt it. I will probably never have a tattoo but I do enjoy asking others about the meaning of theirs. Not too many people have said they got it for the sake of having one. There is usually a meaning/story behind it. I enjoy those conversations and respect them for that. Thus, don't be concerned where it should be. Put it where you want it to be. | |

There are a few things I would like to have inked on me, but I would probably get sick of it within a few months. However, I will get a tattoo of some sort with my babys name once he/she is here.

I didn't want mine to be the first thing everybody noticed when they saw me.It does have meaning, but I dont want to see it all day,everyday.....it is nice just to know it's there to remind me of a time when I was a little friskier......

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/19/2006 5:49:16 AM | I have several tattoos and they all have special meaning to me. The latest I got was my 15-year-old dog's name (Brodie) tattoo'd on my lower back because I lost him to old age a few months ago. I see it every day when I get dressed or out of the shower, but I also got it as a tribute to Brodie because I had him for 15 years and miss him a lot and though I know I will never forget him, I like it as a reminder to not just me but others in my life that he meant a lot to me. Any time someone sees a glimpse of it they ask who Brodie is and we talk about him and how much he meant to me. It's just my own personal thing that I did for him and me and it means a lot to me.
If you are worried about what other people think, then you probably aren't totally ready to commit to it because it IS for life. Some people like big boobs, some like long hair, some like piercings, and some like tats, it's all personal preference.

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/19/2006 6:36:07 AM | I kinda like my family crest on my shoulder blade............ My son and I both had it done the same day...will ALWAYS have special meaning | |
|
| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/19/2006 7:24:49 AM | | I like tattoos - family/children/friend tribute type ones. I don't understand big ugly roses on boobs though. I cannot fathom why anyone would want something like that on their breast. | |
|
| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/19/2006 7:28:15 AM | | I like showing it when I want to show it. I love having it, and at times I enjoy having it as my own little secret. Most people don't expect me to have a tattoo and I find that amusing. A tattoo is for life and I know there are going to be times I don't want my tattoo to be front and centre. I see it everyday and that's what's important. I didn't do it for anyone else but me. | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/21/2006 6:27:09 PM | | Just got another one. I got my daughters middle names on my shoulder along with a tiger. I want one more that represents Love....something that I hope to find someday...lol | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/27/2006 7:07:22 AM | try Merchant Marie's on Portland St. She is awsome. You can check out the website under the same name. | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/27/2006 7:33:45 AM | | I've heard bad things about her. My friend went to get a piercing and a tattoo - halfway through, she decided she was going to have a smoke - kept her gloves on and didn't bother to change when she came back -- thats disgusting! | |
|
| Tattoos on Women Posted: 8/29/2006 10:40:55 AM | yes that would be gross, I was the first one there when she opened so I guess she wasn't in need of one that quickly, thank goodness. But through our conversation she had said that she quit, so maybe that's a good thing. | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 10/15/2006 10:48:58 AM | Tattoos on women make them look like truck drivers . I do not have tattoos myself but at least on a man it looks well... masculine . Masculinity on a woman does not work for this guy SORRY . Why do ladies actually believe tattoos are a turnon to men when its actually not? Most men[95%] find tats on a lady very unfeminine and a turnoff actually | |

was there a study done? and i don't mean that sarcastically. But I think throwing out a percentage needs to be backed up. Otherwise it's BS. And I don't have a tattoo, so I am not being defensive as a woman with a tattoo, I am just saying that if that is a statistic, please show me where you got it. Otherwise don't make up stats to try and prove your personal preference.
Thanks... | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 10/15/2006 11:02:30 AM | | Yeah, I'd kinda like to know about that myself. If in the right place, tattoos are very attractive on females. I'm a bit of a fan of the lower-back tattoos, myself. | |

loveableladywanted, Is that an actual factual statement or did you just make that up? I think it might be the latter. I myself do not have a tattoo and not sure if I will ever get one but I think alot of men find them sexy on women. I do think some tattoos look good on different women and some look not so good, but my opinion is just that, 'my opinion'.
*edit* I had my response earlier, but the phone rang..hehe

i like tattoos on women if they're something more unique than the usual butterfly or iguana or design on the tailbone (unless it says "Faster")

design on the tailbone (unless it says "Faster")
Or it's in the shape of a bullseye or something.

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 10/15/2006 6:14:53 PM | | I have one of those :common" butterfly tattoos on my lower back lol. But to me it does mean something....Butterfly represents change/growth...the flowers around it are forget me nots....thus always change and grow as a person but never forget where you were or how you got to where you are. :) Tattoos are about the person they are on more so than what people think of them | |

| Tattoos on Women Posted: 10/15/2006 7:55:15 PM | My opinion... I really like to be versitile, and I have comittment issues ....so I am a big fan or temperary tattoos. I slap one of them one before a big date, performance, night out. choosing different ones for differrent moods. I love it!!!! | |
