I have been shy around women 99% of my life and every attempt I make to break out of it I either stutter and go blank or I do make conversation and I'm treated like sh!t It's not as easy as it sounds. Am I condoning not trying? No, but I am sick of being treated like crap, blown off, stood up, left hanging, etc when I bust my ass to be a good man. I sound so bitter here but those who know me know I am not. Why do I think I'm a good guy?
I don't do drugs, I dont drink (not that being a drinker makes you a bad one), I have no criminal record, I don't talk down to people unless it's retalliation or I feel disrespected, I treat people how I want to be treated, I keep NO secrets whatsoever, I do NOT lie under any circumstances, I have an awesome ability to make people smile and laugh, I know the beauty and power of communication (knowing that includes listening, comprehending and sharing).
Not good enough. So far the women I have met (a majority of them) equate a good man with: Good looks/GQ, short hair, rich or good income, accepting the punishment that they intended for their ex, etc.
No, not bitter, just amazed. Sure you can call me desperate, but I disagree. I have been single since 2003 and that's because I don't just get with a woman to say I have one. Hell, I don't even know how to finish this topic...................Sorry | |

There are pleanty of good guys but it seems to me that a lot of us can't measure up
to all those high expectations. When I respond to a "Match" I read the profile
and have every intention of at least trying to be close to what is expected of me.
If by chance I do get a Number, I would definetly call and never put a lady on hold.
