It's the website for the CAMPGROUND where the picnic is being held. I suspect there will be a few spots still available, since they have a couple hundred . . . All you have to do is use the website (or the phone number Belinda already posted to start off this thread.) I had no problem making a reservation.
a real gem, I emailed you already. I'll be coming right through Allentown. readyfor2012, since you'll be most likely coming right through Allentown as well, you're welcome to meet up with us there. I'll keep you posted here on the forum.

Posted: 8/26/2006 12:35:08 PM | Girlnixtdoor, if you don't find anyone to caravan/carpool up with you from Delaware County, feel free to meet up with those of us from Northampton, Lehigh and Bucks Counties who are meeting up in the Allentown area (straight up the Blue Route/Northeast Extension for you, and kind of on your way anyway.)
Once I know who all is meeting up in Allentown, I'll try to pick a meeting place, probably a diner or shopping center near a highway exit, that'll make sense for everyone, and that's easy to find, so please post on the forum here if you're one of the folks who is in for meeting up in the Allentown area.
And for anyone who's read this far and *still* hasn't gotten it, the date is:

If you're coming north on 309 take the Tilghman St. West exit. Diner is clearly visible from the highway, all chrome and late 50's spaceship retro look, really fun. Good food too.
From PA Tpk NE Ext, take Allentown Exit to 22E to 309S to Tilghman St West. (It's probably just a bit over a mile from the turnpike exit, and all the exits I just gave you will come up quickly.)
I'll be at the counter grabbing a cup of high test. If y'all aren't there by the time I'm done (10:15 or thereabouts) I'll head out without you. | |
