Posted: 8/18/2009 12:26:52 AM | Yep good genes my grandma is going to be 90 this september and she looks like a spring chicken no doubt! she dresses sharp and acts very lady like. She has all her faculties memory ect if I look like her when I am 90 I'd be happy. I think smoking and chemicals from makeup ages the skin. I don't smoke and I don't wear makeup Iam 35 but people still think I am 19! I still get asked what grade am I going into...! | |

Posted: 8/18/2009 3:57:54 AM | I am a realist. I am sure I look my age, but pretty good for my age (what ever that means.) 50 is a great age.
I get lots of sulfur, the forgotten mineral. I still smoke a little, but no booze except for a couple of beers a year. Dehydrates my skin and makes me look older. So does flying for that matter.
I would do rehab for the cigs though..lock me up.
Sleep is good and having the imagination and curiosity of a 4 year old, makes people seem younger.I agree being happy and little stress is a youthful tonic.
I am amazed at the amount of men who claim to be in their early 40s' on their profile. You talk to them and the age question comes up, they admit they are really 51-54 and use the excuse they don't want old women contacting them or they have been told they look really young. It's like hiding your body type, when we see you up close the lie is exposed. No excuses. | |

I guess this type of matching is okay if you are Ken and Barbie. Beyond initial physical attraction, isn't compatibility based on commonalities rooted in experience and intellect?

They must've lived low-stress, highly-pampered lives...exercised daily, got plenty of beauty sleep, ate fresh foods, drank plenty of clean water, and inherited their wealth (or married, divorced and got alimony) so they didn't have to work for it.

Well, I'm told I look younger than my close to 37 years. I don't eat healthy, I smoke, have done my share of illegal narcotics, and alcohol. I have a child and don't exercise unless it involves making a copy or getting a file at work. However, I'm not a sun worshiper and if I am out in the sun I wear plenty of sun screen. The sun destroys your skin from the inside out. You don't notice the damage until it's too late. Ya, you look great with a tan in your 20's, but it takes a toll on your skin. Now in my 30's, I've spent one week in the Bahama sun so far. The entire decade. That's the total of my major sun exposure. I don't have crows feet but I do have smokers lines at the corners of my mouth. Then again, I might be a bit more judging since I tend to stand two inches from the mirror when agonizing over my imperfections. I also use natural coconut oil as a moisturizer and for cooking.
Oh, and it probably doesn't hurt that I have oily skin. Keeping your skin moisturized with the right products (meaning water is NOT the first ingredient) helps and improves what you already have. | |

I am 43, my grandparents are still alive and my greta-grandfather just passed away last year. No one in our family can be called 'health conscious' yet we have many pro athletes and a few Olympians.
There are just as many who didn't age so well...most of it I think is from tanning too much. | |

While they are great to have....hence I'm on a dating site...there is a lot of pressure to raise a family..or at least that's what I see. This is for the TV quality women out there who are 30 and over. ....I just find it strange I can find so many young looking older women.
Sorry, didn't read the entire thread... nor am I sure I qualify to answer the question...
However... for me... I stopped drinking any sort of pop/soda at about age 21. I will have a Root Beer and Vanilla Vodka every few months or so... but, for the most part, all I drink is water, tea, and soy milk. I honestly believe it has been the cutting pop out of my diet has really made my skin look good. | |

it is the best thing a person can do for their body and mind. that and being vegetarian. crappy unhealthy food will make you old and ill before your time.

I think the face says a lot...I had this book, have no idea who I’ve loaned it out to, but basically it gives you an indication about personality type by facial features...
full lips...very passionate and generous
long nose...very stingy with their money
long chins...have a mean streak
round faces......very sexual
blue eyes........are more envious in nature than others.
straight hair........tend to be far more conservative than others.
curly hair......very playful, but require more attention than others.
small eyes.....sneaky
big eyes.....very attentive, are more likely to be honest
These are just a few that I recall, but it was definitely an interesting read...
Also, vegetarians don't age as fast as the meat eaters! | |
