Exposer to too much sun especially when young destroys the skin on a chromasomal level resulting in premature aged skin. Second genes, some people just have genes more resistant to the aging process. Third life style, If your living like the devil from your teens on. partying hard, eating poorly, abusing everything, not excercising your gonna llok like crap the closer you get to 40. | |

I think it has a lot do do with how so called older women are viewed these days.
Turning 40 isn't what it used to be.....we all have much more active life styles..I think staying active keeps you young .
Youth is a state of mind....mind over matter can do wonders. | |

Posted: 7/31/2006 6:24:14 PM | My laughter currently, is coming from two sources.. my little nieces who arrive tonight and have already called me 4 times from the ferry, and the knowledge that Driver73 is going to get a can of whoopass opened on him shortly.
That also helps with the aging factor. Knowing you can beat someone younger than you, and laughing the entire time you do. 
And you're right, kimberly, I'd rather not live as long and laugh as much as I can instead.

Ive never had surgery etc,i just look at ways to improve how i look.I do agree with being happy,although i lost a child recently i still try to be positive,that a great way to look better,and feel better,always be positive. | |

If you are raised in a very sunny location, your body will naturally be used to sun...BUT
you should never burn in the sun or tanning salon...just stay away from tanning salons.
They burn me more often than not when I have gone, and I look like I am Brazilian to some people. I use darking tanning oil with spf 15. The spf 15 blocks me from sun damage. Even my pale mom got color in 2 days in Palm Springs using this without burning. You must wear shades the skin around the eyes is sensitive and will give you crows feet. You must moisterize, drink lots of water depending on your environment...depends on how much water NEEDED, and good food. Sleep and catch up on sleep when you can or learn how to relax.
Laughter...oh my...a big one. Laughter is medicine for your entire body, no joke. Laughter decreases your stress levels. And stress impairs your imminue system.
1. Sun exposure...it depends on the person...SPF 15 with your tanning oil mandatory.
2. Do not burn
3. Moisterize and hydrate inside and out
4. Eat well
5. Sleep
6. Veg out...takes some time to daydream, reflect, meditate, relax, or something similar
7. Stay as active as a youth....you will be youthful
8. Don't say you are old...it will become you
9. Laughter
10. A kid at heart.... | |

Posted: 8/5/2006 2:37:27 PM | It's definitely genetic. On my father's side of the family everyone looks 10 - 15 years longer and they live long long lives. On my mom's side, it's a different story. I guess I resemble more my dad's side of the family because people sometimes think I'm in my early 20's and I'm 36.
Being a university student definitely helps since I wear jeans and tee shirts and carry a backpack everyday. | |

Only thing I can say is I've never smoked, never drank, and have never done any drug in my life. I am a complete kid at heart.. which might add some to it also  | |

build up some muscle, weight lift,actually critically apparaise yourself instead of focusing on getting all the middle age crap done.if all else fails give in to your couger in training urges....

Posted: 8/6/2006 7:13:03 PM | To the poster, stop trying to guess a woman's age by thier over all body image. Look at her eye's, they don't lie. Her eye's and the area around it can show a woman's age if you can tell how to read it. I can usually guess a woman's age to be +/- 2yrs. Yes thier body also helps in me guessing the number but I find its the eye's that tell the most.

I am 59, and people guess my age at 17-19 years younger......I smoke, eat crappy (not all of the time) and and survived a childhood of abuse and 31 years of an abusive marriage; I SHOULD look 120!
Attititude is EVERYTHING, and genetics are fabulous, too! | |
