| Why don't you age?
Posted: 8/20/2006 9:19:58 PM | Good genes, and no smoking (ever), no drugs (none since I was 17), and little or no alcohol. I didn't drink for pretty much 15 years, however, I am drinking a little bit now a days....hope it won't catch up to me~~
Caffeine I have to say is a must for me, but only ONE drink a day! | |

I thought the general rule for online dating sites is that the picture doesn't age but the person does... Sort of an anti-Dorian Grey, I assumed. | |

I figured if I dont have them then I wont get older. I seen something once it was "how old would you be if you didnt know your age?". I will stay 29 for as long as I can, and Im soon approaching 38. I keep young mentally and I do the best I can for the outershell too. Im a sun-worshiper also, and I know bad as I dont wear sunblock. | |

Why do you guys need to bother so much about guessing the numbers? And then why do you criticize women for trying to hide the numbers or go to great lengths to stall aging? Posted: 8/24/2006 5:30:11 PM | This is a great thread...Several months ago I was going to post a thread asking the same thing. It really baffles me too !!!!
I started smoking and dancing when I was 20 and been doing both of them like "gang-busters" still.
I used to "party-hard" A real "party animal"...When I hit 50 I slammed on the breaks and started slowing down a bit ....but....not much..just don't do it as OFTEN. SO Now that I'm 65... (Ya know they say "time flys when your havin' fun" Man I must of been havin' a BLAST).Anyway I realize I have to take care of myself...so I don't go out and do "KRAZY" sh*t like I used to...but it was SO MUCH FUN !!!! Aahhh the memories (smile) NOW I eat healthy foods and try to exercise at least 3 times a week...rarely will I eat "Junk Foods" or snack a lot which is a BUMMER cause I sure miss eating anything and everything I desire...BUT If I want to live till I'm 90...I gotta give up some stuff...Right???
I do LAUGH alot !!!!!!!!! Especially at myself..
AND I am a totally POSITIVE gal............ I leave NEGATIVITY waaaay on the back burner!!
My mom and dad both looked alot younger then their true years.....so I think that must have been an ingredient in the aging process.
I'm also very spiritual and EXTREMELY happy with my life...
So that's MY story.....Whatever slows down the aging thing....I'm LOVIN' it !!!!!!!!! | |

Getting ID'd, questioned, or others thinking that it's impossible for the girls to be my daughter's. It ticks me right off. Will I appreciate it later,,, most likely. How do I look young? How the hell do I know? Genes I guess or the fact that I am so petite. Maybe someone would say I look old, hahaha. This is based on my assumption.

Posted: 8/25/2006 9:51:07 AM | Hey Red....I don't think anybody would say you look old. It seems most of the petite gals are unhappy if people think they are younger then there age...I know my sister feels like that.
When I turned 30 I was depressed the whole day of my birthday....didn't even celebrate it !!
Now....I'd kill for 30!!!! ha! ha!.....Even though I did'nt feel 30...I think I looked it...When I turned 40..I looked 30....when 50 I looked 40...Now I'm 65 and people tell me I could pass for 45 or 50.....soooooo who knows.....?????? I'm just APPRECIATIVE......

Posted: 8/28/2006 5:43:45 PM | I have read some replies mentioning genes,moderate alcohol consumption, diet and not smoking. I would have to agree with the ' gene theory' the most. While I dont look 22 anymore, I have been told frequently that I look years younger than my 37. I spent the better half of my twenties in the military where when I wasnt overseas on deployments, I was carousing around bars and smoking my guts out and I put more crap down my stomach from late night burger joints than is healthy I am sure...

When I tell them they are my grandchildren, I get the "no way" attitude. I put it down to having humor in your life (I love to laugh and make people laugh), it keeps you young. Staying out of the sun, no smoking, and just enjoying life are also a big part. As to genes, my mother aged much when she turned 40 so I don't completely believe that. It is mostly the way you live. | |
