Posted: 9/9/2006 6:22:58 PM | | Well for one, you have Oil of Olay products among many others on the market which is a billion dollar industry to help maintain youthfulness, etc. Personally speaking for myself, I can say I DON'T SMOKE! That for sure will cause you to age big time. As for alcohol, I drink wine coolers; not heavy - only on occasion. I drink plenty of water and just refuse to let BS of the word stress me out. Just recently, someone this very site stated I'm lying about my age that I'm really not 30 but 19 or 20. I was like "okay" and I got ID'd in Apple Bee's b/c I ordered an Apple Martini - I was upset/flattered in the same token. I mean if you look at my mother she's 57 looking late 30's early 40's - not a wrinkle or worry line on her face. It bascially boils down to how one takes care of themselves and whether or not you got good genes running through your genetic makeup. | |

They can't believe I look so young still, apparently, and they wish they had my genes. I'm not a believer in some of these ideas except for maybe the genes since my job has me out in the sun alot, i've done my fair share of drinking and stuff, i take some high risks for my work, etc. Some people say most Asians are naturally young-looking all the time. | |

Not a night owl, no more shift work.
Hang out outside a lot with my boys,... outdoor sports are a good thing esp. when...
you live in a freakin' temperate rainforest... LOL Keeps the skin dewy! CANADA ROCKS!!!!
Easy on the stress!!!!!!!!! No rush hour traffic where I live.
Hot tub in the back yard,...indeed life is good. | |

Good genes, good skin care, eating healthy, plenty of exercise, lots of sleep, no smoaking, little alcohal, good stress management. It does not matter what we did in our twenties or the schools we attended. It is not in the water as they say. Just good sence for the most part and some good luck as well. | |

...I believe in Genetics. My mother just turned 72 and she is often asked if she is my sister.

... Also recently i was touring the strip in da falls with my son and his twin daughters of 3 years old. While taking my picture on a Harley with one of the twins a tourist walked over to my son and said your wife takes a beautiful picture. My son chuckled and said Thanks but thats my MOM. The man covered his mouth and went to his wife. I have the picture of this man itsin my profile.. Anyways, I have to say i am proud of me no matter what i look like . I dont always think i am pretty or i measure up toothers, but that is from others demeanoring me and now i am my own person and confident in all I am and all I do. | |

I use the Clinique 3 step program and try to eat healthily. And yes, you do need to drink plenty of water and get a good night sleep. | |

I do believe we need to drink water, and rest, and live easy on the nerves though. Laughter has to help too. Just look at ER and she's always giggling. LOL!

Posted: 11/6/2006 9:58:52 PM | I'm constantly being told I look "way" younger than my age. Which is flattering but I keep worrying that I'll wake up one day and suddenly look 10 years older.
Woman today have so many options to help them stay young looking. Olay products help but a youthful attitude is what helps the most.
And don't wear "old lady" clothing. And don't cut your hair short. Yes, I know a lot of women look great in short hair but others really do look better with longer hair. Don't go for that coordinated look with matching jewellry. Dress young, think young but be realistic. If you don't have the body for those cute short skirts I like to wear, then don't.  | |
