Posted: 1/25/2007 9:19:05 PM | I own my own home in Dallas, but have been renting a room from a girl in the New Orleans area (while I work here helping re-build things) for most of the last year.
I am 50. She is 26. Her best friend also lives here. The best friend is also 26.
I have overheard both of them (at different times) a few times.
We're all pretty laid back, and have been rooming together long enough to be comfortable with each other, so when this happens, it's usually fodder for jokes the next day.
I keep telling them that I could make 'em moan louder than their creepy boyfriends...
Usually I just get told," Yeah... sure you could, DAD!!"

1. Always use protection
2. Be as loud as possible
3. If the roomate can hear you, they are allowed to join in
There have been many a night where im sure my roomate has wanted to enact rule #3. But thankfully she has yet to, for which i love her dearly. | |

A few years ago, I was at a convention and was rooming with a friend of mine. She was still out and about when I went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night partially because I had to go to the bathroom, and partially because my roommate and some guy were having sex in the other bed. I pretended to be asleep until they were done (or so I thought), then I got up and went to the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, they were going at it a second time! What could I do? I sat up and made snarky comments until they were done. ;) | |

1. Yell shut the fack up and bang on the door. Or,
2. Start moaning and groaning at the top of your lungs.
Either way it will freak them out, they'll shut up and they will learn to bury their faces in the darn pillows next time. | |

It totally didnt bother me, righ up untill we heard somone mention it not knowing that it was us....
Then, we did what we could to keep the noise down... Somtimes its just not appropriate.

My roomate knocked on my door to come in and my partner tightened up and drove my head into the mattress. I tried to yell "not a good time", but my voice was muffled and he came in. I live with a roommate now, we have a rule. No men. We've been roommates about 14 months and neither of us have had a man here at our house. It's a respect thing. I'm celibate, she isn't ~ I don't think she wants to instigate me falling off the wagon, so she incorporated the no-men-allowed-rule (it's really very sweet since she is the only one dating.)  | |
