Why don't you all talk about how porn and prostitution are wonderful, too?
Okay. Porn's pretty great. Legal prostitution, in which the women get to keep most of the money they make and are free to come and go as they please, is okay too.
Your entire post seems to stem from a feeling that sex is somehow shameful. I'm sorry you feel that way.

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/11/2007 1:58:37 PM | well ..
they are used to faking a lot of things, emotions, etc, so they might be able to fake orgasm well and inflate your EGO by making you think that y YOU (as a man) are a great lover!

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/12/2007 1:23:26 PM | In truth, I cannot offer up an opinion here.
I tend to stay far away from woman who have men pawing all over them all the time. To many chances to have a "long lasting" memory as a result. You know... the kind that requires medication.
The odds are just to great no matter how attractive she is. Now now now, let's not be angered by my opinion. I don't speak for the masses. Just a personal preference. Then again, while I am not the jealous sort, I would never like my woman being touched by anyone else anyway... ever.
Gimme me the "angel" girls anyday. They are the ones I find can be your one man stripper for. Key word here is "one man".

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/12/2007 3:47:43 PM | | Would never want to know. My thoughts are if their minds are so warped to try to make a living giving their body away freely then hell no could they be. The whole act of them doing that is such a turn off that how could it be good. If a person was a former stripper and her life has taken a complete turn around then that is different. I said this many times. If you went to a resteraunt and the food looked delicious but you learned that the kitchen was infested with****oaches and rats and the kitchen-ware was not properly cleaned would that food still look delicious? | |

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/12/2007 4:52:05 PM | Wow the forums are full of stripper threads these days! LOL
If a stripper would be better in bed than a non-stripper it would have more to do with the person and not the "job" she does. Is a bartender good in bed because she serves drinks? How about a lawyer or a doctor? Is there really any one profession or job that has as a benefit you're a better lover because of it? I don't think so otherwise we'd all lining up for the interviews!
I myself think some of the issues that suspend a womans better judgement against such a "job" would also interfere with them being able to enjoy a normal, healthy relationship built on trust, affection and committment. While not ever stripper has been abused or on drugs there is something "differnt" about them for certain. How anyone could make the connection in their mind a woman who strips is good in bed escapes me. Some of the very very sexiest women I've known or met have NOT been strippers and more than a few were quite amazing in their sexual abilities and more so in their sensuality. It's not about grinding on pole in little or no clothing in front of guys paying for this sort of "fun" that makes a woman sexy OR good in bed---it's all in her mind and desire to be accomplished in that.
Anyone who's had a stripper that was a good lay hit the same statistical mark found in the general population-------one in a million?? LOL

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/12/2007 5:38:43 PM | It's funny to watch most strippers dance in a bar, on the dance floor, in civvies, not doing their thing. You can always tell them, the always seem to stick their butt WAAAAY out, like arch their back and then kinda hop up and down, with their long ponytailed hair reminding me of the tail of a trotting horse.
LOL | |

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/12/2007 7:46:44 PM | | Strippers may have more knowledge than some other women but I think that most of them think lowly of men because they see all these married men in the place lusting after them. Most of them are bi-sexual or totally gay also. hey are very used up as far as feelings go. They turn it on and off so much as a job that the real thing is gone. Good for a roll in the hay but so are the other ten guys waiting outside the door. They know they can have as many as they want so...the devotion to one man is not going to happen. They will get itchy trying to stay with one man and will not hesitate to mess around with another man or woman!! | |

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/12/2007 9:59:13 PM | | I was involved with a stripper off and on for a couple of years... back when I was an impressionable young lad... and what many people have been saying here is correct. It's just a job. Now, sure... if she were a plumber I doubt that she would have known how to move the way she did, but when it got down to.. erm... getting down... the actual physical act came from a different, more sincere place. I'm sure it depends on the person, however, so it's hard to generalize. | |

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/12/2007 11:31:44 PM | Hmmm, maybe it's just my perception, but prostitutes have sex for a living, strippers merely prance around in next to nothing or nothing at all (well, unless you count glitter as "something.") Maybe I'm missing the point, but it's just like sleeping with a lawyer ~ does he quote legal statutes during? Or better yet, a gynocologist ~ they should have all the in's of that whole ordeal. I have to believe it's the person, not the profession. Maybe strippers never are just "normal" men/women ~ I find that terribly difficult to fathom. The only stripper I know personally, is married. I've never asked her husband how she ranks off the pole ~ I know her money keeps them quite comfortable, so he's OK with crappy sex (should that be the case) because there are other perks. I seriously doubt that however. JMO | |

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/12/2007 11:34:16 PM | The ones I've actually talked to have made me feel more sorry for them than attracted to them.......they're REALLY messed up in the head, as it relates to love and relationships. Someone, probably very early on, messed these girls up, and so they try to get attention in the only way they know how...and they're so Bitter about it....it's very sad.
Not all.....I'm sure there are women who just like to strip/dance, but the ones I've talked to have opened my eyes enough that I can't really enjoy going to strip clubs. I can see the strings.

Some of them. Most are messed up by the job. How long do you think someone can do a job where they see the worst behavior of men, on a daily basis, without developing negative opinions and expectations from men in general?
As far as better lovers? Nope. Better and more experimental in the sex department? Oh yeah. (Well, in my experience they are.)

As opposed to the totally natural environment of dancing on a stage, in a darkly lit club, where total strangers pay money for women to lap dance for them, while these men fantasize about having sex with them? Yeah, because being in that environment on a fairly regular basis wouldnt skew how some strippers look at sex and their role in it..........

| Do strippers make better lovers Posted: 8/6/2008 9:05:04 PM | If by "lovers" you mean sexual partners then it's possible. Strippers know how to fake it well.
To me a "lover" is someone you love and have sex with...so that would be different.
I couldn't fake that. | |

I read someplace that learning to pole dance is getting to be a great home exercise for the 21st century sexy wife!!
I live in TN and thereare some still around who seem to be living in the Dark Ages. There is a local exercise business that has had their business license revoked because they installed stripper poles for exercise rountines. Some conservative politician now is trying to claim it's an adult business instead of a gym. WTF?
As far as the original question posted years ago... I have never met anyone whose job made them a better lover. It's all based on the person, not their profession.
I would think working in the adult entertainment field would probably make one a little more open minded to trying things though.
