| What's the stupidest thing you've ever done in the name of love?
Posted: 5/8/2005 2:34:12 PM | | Arranged for helicopter rides for the girlfriend and a bunch of friends......because she asked , even though I knew she kinda liked the pilot. We landed got out and ran away as instructed.....and the helicopter flew away with her still in it.......didn't see her til the next day. OUCH!!!! live and learn | |

| What's the stupidest thing you've ever done in the name of love?
Posted: 1/10/2008 2:46:13 PM | A year and a half ago moved to the midwest to be with me first love. We hadn't talked for a few decades. I thought I would be ok since we talked on a daily basis and pretty much all of the time. Why not. I dated him when I was a teenager and there was our gang we all hung out with. Moved in with him and within two weeks he was so controlling, whiny, and manipulating. He even broke a window on my car hoping I wouldn't take the job. I did. Thank goodness I had the job and my car. I ended up leaving in the middle of the night. He threw the worst tantrums and would want to fight all night about stupid stuff. Jeese!!!
He really gave me the creeps.
And who said being single is lonely? Not in my book.

| What's the stupidest thing you've ever done in the name of love?
Posted: 1/10/2008 8:37:30 PM | Lived with the "" love of my life" whom was into modern furniture. I sold all of my beautiful hand carved French antique furniture to please him, and sold it for pennies on the dollar. I had an entire house full of it. We were together 8 years then he left me, and I really missed my furniture. I would never do that again. | |

Although I've done several foolish things for love, that tops the list I think. It's a mistake I won't make again. If I ever married again it would most definitely this time be for love and nothing but love. | |

Posted: 1/10/2008 8:49:21 PM | I know the feeling regalrose and agree with you 100%. (I sat here thinking what mine was and you hit it right on the mark!)
I also went to the next level and after he hurt me in a physical way, I remembered my promise when we got engaged that I promised him two children as he was an only child (at that time my daughter was 4 years old) and I phoned him and told him that I am keeping my promise and give him his second child though I would never love him. Took him back and stayed with him for 5 more years after my son was born. | |

Posted: 1/10/2008 9:11:43 PM | Changed colleges to be closer to her, leaving all of my friends behind, buying hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry for her as a christmas present when I did not have the money to pay off the bill as a poor college student.
Thats just a couple of the dumb things I did, but hey it was my first love so I was young and stupid. | |

Funny,
I seradaded a girl once.. funny because I cant carry a tune for the life of me.
Stupid,
I forgave someone that cheated on me.. that has to top all of the categories
Rediculous,
at 2 o'clock in the morning I drove 45 minutes to dispose of a mouse in the bathroom at an ex's apartment that I thought I was still in love with.
Waste of time,
I shopped for a wedding ring, bought and paid for said wedding ring only to find two days later they cheated on me while I was shopping for this ring.. do you get the hint I learned a valuable lesson... I hate cheaters.
I'm abosultely positive this is more but I have more than likely blocked from my memory. | |
