Posted: 6/22/2006 4:43:32 PM | I could actually tell you the evolutionnary theory behind it... but ppl on forums tend to not like it... they prefer to keep their little illusions of how the world functions, even if its a uthopical vision...
Yes it is recognized that the bigger a mammal's testicules are, the more they are proned to promiscuous sex... But ppl just refuse to recognize that our Will is affected by bological factors, they prefer to think that everything is a choice and blind themselves to the instincts that leads them to certain choices... By thinking they are that much in control of their lives they end up not beeing at all for they do not understand basic human psychology/physiology nor what REALLY motivates a human to behave the way it does... By masking 2 or 3 levels of instinctual and subconscious pulsions from their live visions, they will NEVER understand what really motivates them to do what they do and even less control those same insctincts and urges... How can you control what you deny its own existence?
So yes... Bigger balls do tend to lead to more promiscuous sex, that's the whole evolutionnary purpose for having big balls... It does apply between different species, I dont know if it applies among the same specie, but the principle does make sens nevertheless... If you want a better explanation of that theory, ask and I'll send it to you... I dont feel like having a bunch of blind ignorants bashing on the truth because it bothers their naive vision of the world... | |

Posted: 2/15/2007 7:30:55 AM | from an evolutionary standpoint, the big balls produce more sperm. the primates that have less competition from other males (gorillas for example) as a rule have smaller testicles than those who have a high degree of competition from other males. humans are kind of middle of the road, pygmy chimps have the largest because they (like humans) have sex all the time rather than just when the female is fertile. they also have sex for social reasons etc - just like humans - but don't seem to have a problem with "sluts" and "players"
so way back in the history of humans, because of promiscuity it was advantageous for a man to produce a lot more sperm. the majority of sperm produced has nothing to do with fertilization, it contains a lot of inactive or deformed spermatozoa that act as a block to the sperm from subsequent men, and also some spermatozoa kill the sperm of competing males. so for the sake of argument, let's say that a guy with a lot of sperm gets to the woman first. the sperm that don't go for the ovum remain behind or swim around blindly. the woman then has sex with another man, and the first guy's sperm kills the majority of the second's, increasing his success in procreation. the resultant child will inherit daddy's large testicles. if the big guy also was promiscuous, he'd have more kids that have big balls, and might have also inherited his tendency toward promiscuity.
big balls don't directly point to promiscuity, therefore, but they do have a positive correlation - from an evolutionary standpoint.
