Actually "hate" is a word that is not allowed to be used in my home Curious as to why you started this thread .....
Did you not read the original post? Take another look and then decide if the quoted statement makes sense. There is a difference. I get it.

Very well said. Ofcourse behavior problems are subjective to opinion but that's kind of the point too. If you find someone's behavior 'bad' then you have different value systems which will clash.
I don't feel I 'hate' them. I see it for what it is, differences that would make having any kind of friendship/relationship difficult. There are some things I can see past just because the person behind it is so worth it to me. If they are consistently the type to violate the things I believe in, I don't really see a point in letting them get really close to begin with.
Overtime you just get to know which types you get along well with and which you don't. I think its just important to realize you are no better or worse than them ...just different.
P.S. Just how detached I am and how logically I look at all this drives some people crazy. | |

Posted: 6/25/2006 3:47:43 AM | I had that happen with a radical anarchist feminist I met once. She organizes rallies and publishes anarchist magazines and whatnot. It apparently didn't take very long for her to realize that I'm a sexist racist embodiment of the white male supremacy conspiracy or something along those lines. I spent a good long time trying to explain to this weirdo that she hadn't a clue who I was or what I was about until I couldn't take her aggression calmly anymore and had to leave, and spent at least a day and a half wondering what the hell I had said that would have provoked such a reaction.
Evenutally, I came to realize that she's just a ****ed up hatemonger with filters in her ears. I wouldn't say that I hate her, but honestly, until she sorts her head out, I wish her every misfortune that life has to offer in the hopes that she'll be weak and ineffective in spreading her maliciousness. I think that's about as close to hate as I'm ever likely to get. It still makes me grind my teeth thinking about the vicious divisive things she says. | |

There was one woman who screwed me over really bad. She ruined my career actually. For awhile I wanted bad stuff to happen to her out of a sense of justice. Then I went from there to hating a system that would allow it to happen and now I've just kind of accepted (even though its wrong wrong WRONG) that the system is sometimes run by morons
I don't really hate anyone over it now. Its a very crappy thing and sometimes crappy things happen to good people. All I can do is have faith that in some way it was the start of turning point. I still have some bumps in the road but it caused changes in my life that I don't regret.
So basically, I still hate no one hehe. | |

I hate everyone and everything. *laffs* Until I see a human side. There's one person in this thread whom I've never had respect for until I read a post by this particular person. I guess I hate people who act all unormallike. (I don't think it's a real word.)
What I find thought-provoking is the fact that there are so many replies to the "instant hate" thread, but not as many on the "instant like" thread. I don't think hate is such a bad emotion. I think that there are reasons and insecurities behind that feeling and unless you dig, you will carry those reasons with you.

Yeah those types of people drive me to instant dislike..as well as someone making fun of someone else i dislike those people too.. I think i actually hate them..it drives me back to the bad memories of being made fun of in elementary..oh and jr.high..or and then there was high school..hahaha.. Well the last laugh is on you suckers..coz frankly i dislike you..

Posted: 7/6/2006 3:01:37 AM | I probably get along better with those that act abnormally than those that do. I really do like people who walk to the beat of their own drummer rather than just following the heard.
I have felt the brunt of that instant suspicion though. It turns me off the person and prevents me from even wanting to explore a friendship with them. No one likes to be judged...assessed I can understand as long as you are weighing dif aspects of a person's personality and not leaping to conclusions based on very little data. While also staying open to things like a person just might be having a bad day.
I will drop my rent off when the rental office is closed just because their is a secretary there who acts that way. I send emails to people in the office rather than having to speak to her on the phone so she can transfer the call.
If someone tried to judge me over my hair color or style, they would lose a lot of credibility in my eyes and I would think they had bad judgement. | |
