| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 5/18/2007 4:51:17 AM | I'm with you on this one Tsorath..
No drugs.. Thats just how it is for me.. While we all have seen the research and hear that it doesnt have any real effect other then a quick buzz and then the munchies.. It is shown that SOME (not all), but SOME are starting to be laced with trace amounts of Meth.. Dont think that Pot can lead you to other more harsh drugs? Wait until you get a dealer that is spiking his pot with meth... Not saying it will happen, but it is not some chance I would take just for a short up on life.. Personally, I like going to play paintball or something like that for the up on life lol.
Just a different view of things..

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 5/18/2007 5:06:40 AM | hmm my issues with drugs. at this point it isnt because its a pain killer , basically its illegal , you can goto jail if caught possessing it which would kinda suck its stinks and tastes bad on the other person if u were gonna kiss her. he person isnt secure enuf to b with u that they need the drug cane to balance their weak personality plus that stupid looking half grin most pot heads wear after they had a hoot just makes ya wanna slap it off them | |

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 5/18/2007 4:24:14 PM | Pot is a multi billion dollar industry in BC alone they say if it was not for pot Canada could possibly be in a recesion . I am glad Canada is so pro pot | |

Hmm im a pothead, and i have a stupid looking grin regardless of if im smoking or not! Take my glucoma, please!
Dealer's are lacing there pot with meth now? you know its funny, all these people say stuff like this, but i don't know anyone who gives away drugs for free! Free usually comes with a big dick in the ass, so for them to be lacing it, there losing money on it! i mean im sure it happens sometimes, cause someone does more than that, its been that way for years, so we learned to know your source, not buy it from joe blow downtown behind shady mcshades porn shack! I been smoking the stuff for 15 years or so, and none of my friend's went to harder drug's, pot got them off of them. Thats why i quit drinking, way worse for me personally, and with my glucoma, i like being able to see and not having **** bloody eyes, ahhh puss! A friend in need, will smoke your weed, But a freind with weed is a friend i need!
Im not gonna get into im right and your wrong situation, its for each their own, but i know alot of people can live a normal life with some pot, but booze, yeah right, that wreck's them, but on the flipside, having a few drink's is no big deal for some, but smoke a joint and there too screwy! Its all about balance and finding whats right for you!
But i will say, and i always believed, Booze is way worse than pot, and i think most everyone knows it, they just drink, unlike me, so they don't see it that way, nobody is taking away their fun.....

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/6/2007 3:12:17 PM | Certainly not a Foe, that's for sure.
As far as lacing pot with other drugs, well that's just bullshit for the fearmongers.
Keep an open mind, especially when over half the country has tried it, there is obvious consensus for decriminalization at the very least.
The problems associated with this so called soft "drug" (and I use that term loosely), are completely derived from prohibition, as some of the strongest proponents to prohibition are organized crime. Keep it illegal, keep the value up.
All the crime associated with the marijuana industry would most likely disappear if there were no money to be made from it.
Simple economics.
So, if we could somehow make it valueless, i.e. mass ive supply and low demand, then organized crime would have to look for something else to make money on. And we'd have to spend our War on Drugs money somewhere else...

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/6/2007 8:01:48 PM | ...
But I digress...
Because then BC's economy would go completely down the shitter...
LOL

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/6/2007 8:03:53 PM | For my own personal use, it's a foe. I quit about 18 years ago and don't feel the need for artificial enhancement to my life. For my wife, Friend. It allows her to relax enough to rest well and with good rest comes a drastic reductions in the effects of her M.S. For other people, well, I don't judge much regarding that. As a once-user it would be hypocrytical and as well, I believe its a personal choice. So long as it doesn't negatively effect those around you, where's the harm, really? | |

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/7/2007 9:05:17 PM | | I find it very amusing when people say smoking a fatty is the same as drinking ... it seems to me drinking half a pint of beer in a half hour can no way compare to what a joint might do to someone in less than two minutes ... and there is no turning back ... | |
|
| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/7/2007 11:39:36 PM | People will justify any behaviour that they condone or are not willing to give up. If they have to compare two wrongs, then they will do so, if they want to compare apples to oranges, they will do so. It is merely human nature to argue "for" or "against" depending on whether they are "for" or "against".
There are 100's of studies completed on the effects of drug use MJ or FATTY, whatever you call it these days. LOL

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/8/2007 12:08:03 PM | Non-Stick ones, they need to make personal electro magnetic force fields for when im walking anywhere! I find it hilarious, sure people will use what they like against what they don't, but How many drunk driving accidents a year, M.A.D.D. is constantly drumming up more and more support, and people are still getting smoked in crosswalks, i sure don't think the police are wasting there time at a checkstop, theres all these people that die from booze, and from heroine or cocaine and all the nasty things, but cmon how many people died from pot, but somehow its worse?
Therefore am i going on a personal crusade to bring down booze because i like pot? Nope, its the facts, people are crashing there cars and hitting inocent children blah blah blah, if they wherent M.A.D.D wouldn't be in business, they wouldn't have checkstops out every weekend, and more importantly they wouldn't be busting all sorts of drunk drivers! The law never said you cant drink, just that you cant drive while drunk, but lots of people do it! The law also says i can carry a small amount of personal pot on me, and sure its not "Legal" but you wouldn't end up in jail, if you did its for selling it, or something else thats not the carrying of my personal pot. Therefore Friend.

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/8/2007 2:02:18 PM | Well Roddy, wake up ... most people who smoke dope also drink ... and please don't come back to me with, you don't ... 'cause that will just make you, not like most people ... | |
|
| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/8/2007 2:09:12 PM | driving often gets me "high", I feel so ashamed........... I just don't seem to fit any particular catagory | |
|
| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/9/2007 9:29:53 AM | Nesting non-stick pots, so the metallic guy in the previous post will fit in somewhere some people get high smoking pot. Some people get a buzz dodging the pot smokers and drinkers on the Whitemd I especially like dodging the caffeine and time deprived people chatting and texting on their cell phones, like that is not an addiction at all because that call or text is infinitely more important than everyone else's safety on the road. What a buzz! I drive in rush hour on my days off to catch my daily buzz. It's even better on the motorbike. | |

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/9/2007 12:01:13 PM | most people who smoke dope also drink
This is true, but cmon weve all heard, and cant deny the classics, so now lets try to deny?
"i cant believe i slept with that girl/guy" whats that saying, at 2 she was 10 at 10 she was 2" musicians write songs now theres a movie called knocked up, about 2 drunk idiots that have no brains cause there drunk, the old, "How the hell did i get home" , "I wouldn't have done that if i was drunk" but thats funny, its funny unless the movie was called "Falling off" yeah you know whats falling off?
i could go on all day, and all that will happen is ill piss off alot of people, because all in all it will be problamatic because of the booze, not the pot, sorry it has nothing to do whether i drink or don't. The world would be alot better if everyone would lighten up, thats why i light up!
|
| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/9/2007 2:53:31 PM | | Getting back to my initial point … ½ pint of beer consumed in ½ hour cannot compare with the effect of less than two minutes of smoking weed … You, dude, are assuming that everyone who drinks has to get wasted … with weed you have no choice ... | |
|
| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/9/2007 3:28:27 PM | See i knew that the part i pointed out would get "overlooked"
so 1 joint would make me a blumbering fool? I FREAKIN WISH!! You find me that stuff! PLEASE
Maybe someone who never did it before would be, but what you think 1 drink would do to a guy who hasn't for over5 years, 1 drink would probably put me over driving, 2 or 3 would put me on the floor, i would be the cheapest drunk ever, but someone who drinks a little more often, well 1 or 2 no biggy, smoking is the same thing.

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/9/2007 6:24:38 PM | And all the people that drink, don't smoke dope! And the news isnt going on about some guy on weed was behind the wheel and killed someone! It was someone who was drunk, possibly he was on weed at the time, but i mean there has to be some reason for the corelation.
(and i don't drive toasted, or toast when im driving, in that sence being intoxicated is intoxicated, and obviously like drinking, after a few hours...)

Rod, at least you are open, honest and responsible about it,
And the news isnt going on about some guy on weed was behind the wheel and killed someone!
the police can test for a blood alcohol level, but not for THC content; so we will never really know how many people got behind a wheel stoned and had/caused an accident.
Personally I don't care what you do in your backyard, I haven't smoked dope in over eighteen years (only smoked pot/hash) and have no plans on ever touching it again, I would not even know where to go looking for it.
Yeah...yeah I was the guy who said "I would never say no to a fatty", but it has been over eighteen years since I have said yes to one.

| Marijuana....Friend of Foe? Posted: 10/10/2007 6:09:26 AM | | So, now what you are telling us Roddy is that you spend $225 for a little baggie of goodies and the first joint never gets you stoned ... so that $12 joint has just went down the tubes ... now, I certainly don't want the stuff you are buying ... | |
